Who is the best table tennis player overall in his era?

So, about this thread.. I'd like a discussion on who was the best male table tennis player overall, no matter what style or equipment in his era? Not only consider your favorites, try to stay real on who really was the best

This is my list:

80's - can't really decide, Andrej Grubba maybe?

90's - Jan Ove Waldner

00's before SGB - Wang Liqin

00's after SGB - Wang Hao

2010 -> Zhang Jike

I won't say Wang Hao is best player after speed glue ban
After 2008, Ma Lin had a huge dip
ZJK was still new

I think the first 2 years was an era of transition, and then ZJK came over.
During that few years, Wang Hao certainly wasn't the best or outstanding enough to take 2008 to 2010
So I would say after SGB and 2010 onwards should be ZJK

I think it is difficult to say WLQ isn't the best player in his era
Waldner for sure in his era
80s is before my time

its not easy to say which player is the best player overall ... ..jan ove waldner was the best in his era . wang liquin and wang hao were fantastic and zjk as well.. but there are also other brilliant players ... but i myself like zjk style more than other players

If i did say he is one of the fastest improving players of all time,I dont think I would be wrong. He's only 17,and 3rd in the world!

Wang Liqin will always be the best ever to me, even if ZJK wins two grand slams. Nobody dominated the same as WLQ. He was #1 for so long. He always played the best he could, and wasn't afraid of pressure. He sleighed in the small events like Ma Long did for so long, and shined in the big events like ZJK does. He was also just so dang smooth to watch.

I would definitely say Andrej Grubba in his time!
