A good starting point if you really want to post your naive worldview on this. See Adham Sharara's personal stance for yourself. Many comments were moderated so you won't get the full picture but it was nasty back then. Sharara was more concerned about the politically-correct image of table tennis than anything, so to speak.I'm 37, I don't know if that's "young" for you but I'll take that as a compliment... 😜
In all seriousness, I had no idea about the Sharara joining the forums and sparking discussions thing.
That said, it still seems far fetched to indirectly quote that event and then go on a rant about world politics when answering OP's question "Why does people in this forum hate boosting so much?".
The website for ESN Tensor has had the logo of Agenda 21 for over 2 decades. Look it up. Sustainability was the most heated political topic back around 2000s-2010s. Still remember Al Gore?
Pingpong's version of 'doping' has different twist

Players continually fidget, walking to the net and wiping their sweaty hands on the table -- choosing the spot where the ball is least likely to land. They blow on their paddles, spin balls to make sure they're perfectly round and hard. Many stomp their feet as they're serving, drowning out the soft ping sound.
"Every little detail counts," Sharara said. "It's almost a sickness I would say."

Some of us are very fortunate to be in good health, financially secure and live in a stable political environment. On behalf of the ITTF I send my best wishes to all those who are less fortunate and who are starting the year with health, financial, personal or political issues; I sincerely hope that 2012 will be a better year. To all I send my best wishes for a very Happy New Year.
Adham Sharara
President
