So if we take the rankings literally and estimate Kanak as being An Jaehyun's peer, Kanak is still roughly top 40 strength,
That's about right, judging from their personal bests, which are 19 for Kanak (30s w/o continental points) and 33 for AJH.

I want that Nexy Bull shirt that An Jaehyun had.

Kinda thought the tables were going to turn after Jha missed his serve late into the decider, but thankfully he pulled it off.
email nexy korea and ask... email is at bottom of page of their domestic website tak9.com and enough of them speak English. You will prolly pay for int. shipping, but the material of that shirt is big time premium stretch ventilated.

Will Kanak Jha back to top 100 after this win? Still long way for him to climb on the ranking.
Current WR#100 has 194 points. He currently has 8 pts from R32 of Feeder Otocec. Winning a Feeder is worth 125 points so he needs at least another tournament. WTT takes your best 8 tournaments for your ranking so it'll be a while before we see a useful ranking. Regardless of ranking, his comeback is really impressive.

The problem is that he has not registered for any coming feeders. And he is not qualified for the big events.

Interesting how I never knew this had happened:

Rankings are out today. Kanak moved up to WR#139. Satsuki Odo moved up to WR#82. Both players only have 2 WTT results. Looks like Odo is funded for Feeder Cappadocia along with her compatriots Hitomi Sato, Anne Uesawa, Misuzu Takeya, and Honoka Hashimoto who has no ranking but is my pick to win it.

Awesome to see the quasi-sister-choppers back on the circuit. Hoping they play doubles as well.

Odo, Hashimoto, and Sato all make it to the SF. Sato had a tough match with Batra but won 3-1. Odo beat Suh Hyo Won relatively easily. Hashimoto beat compatriot Anne Uesawa comfortably. Sato faces her doubles partner Hashimoto. They're also sure to win the Women's Doubles. Odo faces Krittwika Roy of India. The little that I have seen from Roy, Odo should have no trouble making it to the finals.
