Apart from Ma Long, none of the Chinese guys have an easy clash from the first round!!!
These matches can easily go to the wire in a best of 5, and in Europe, nerves are gonna be harder to control, it's happened to FZD before.
I'm curious to see if Tony TT's theory can be validated here.
LYJ and TH are lucky that LJK will be facing WCQ, not either of them.

Just watched some training videos. FZD was training with WCQ. I am worried about FZD. In BH to BH rally he could barely win any point. WCQ's short game is so good that FZD could barely flick.

Not sure if FZD can make it to the final.
Where did you watch it?
He's been struggling with the backhand rallies more and more in recent years.
This tournament will be very interesting to watch.

It already is validated if you look at the draw.
CNT mens has seed 1, 2, 3, 5

so best case 3 x SF
Only 1 SF spot not taken as they didn't get a 4th seed.

Womens has 4 top seeds, so all 4 players could only meet each other in SF

Compared to Japan women's knocking out each other so early, is it not clear enough??
BTW, its not my theory, but just me rebroadcasting CNT's theory over the years

idk why but somehow Liang Jinkun has become less aggressive and powerful than the earlier year when he had just broke out, his style now is somewhat like Harimoto
Back at the WTTC 2013 trial, in the match against ML (I think LJK lost 2-3 after being up 2 games), the color commentator who was a (provincial?) coach (can't remember who) said LJK was a practitioner of the then-latest generation play style (7th?) and if he could master it, he would be unstoppable. Apparently, his subsequent results showed indirectly that he failed, so it's reasonable to assume they have made adaptions.

I'm talking about your theory of them facing players that can stretch them to the max from as early as the first round.

Using the draw to one's benefit is normal procedure.

Headband FZD looks so adorable.

Same verdict for Moregard.

Who, from where, is able to watch? With my German YT account nothing was streamed (only short consumptions of the German players from the DTTB). As I’m in Argentina right now, with the lokal account the match of WCQ was offered via the WCQ-Fanclub. But also, no stream from the event published by the WTT. 🤬
