CNT mens out of MD finals.
and out of MS SF, there was only 1 player in 4. 2 in 8.

Womens coping a bit better.
Mens.... very very brittle

my only question is, why only 4 CNT men's players took part... they struggling to fill the 6 spot NER? This is the same in Star Contender Doha and Contender Muscat....Can't be no money, so why?

I think if Chen Yuanyu beats Harimoto today, he will have the strongest case to be one of the top 5 CNT Men right now.

i think he is still far from cementing the core spot in the team.

In the past 13 months he has losses against Qiu Dang, Hamada Kazuki, Verdonschot Wim (GER), Yoshiyama Ryoichi, Hung Jing-Kai (one of my players), Deschamp Hugo,
He needs a lot more wins, and stop loosing to random foreigners

Yes but so has Xiang Peng and Wen Ruibo. I think if Chen wins he'll be just behind XP. All the CNT below LGY are below what is normally expected in the past. So Chen beating one of China's biggest threats will help his case to be focused on more.

I agree. Not with zeios opinion but with the fact that it’s consistently beating everyone bar the occasional loss to a teammate that sets the difference between making the China team for WTC and WTTCs and being a practice partner for the rest of your career (poor ZQH and XF)

CYY is already included by CNT for Asian Cup by making the finals. Winning Harimoto will be a confidence boost.

Conflicted here, has always like Tomo but CYY has been on my radar ever since CTTSL.

With the departure of FZD and ML the CNT A depth is all time low.

We have WCQ, LSD and LJK as the main 3 at the moment but with LJK loosing so often now to foreigners really it's a two man operation.

And I would argue that WCQ and LSD are not as far ahead of the opposition as FZD and ML were in their times

Wen Ruibo and Zhou Qihao were planned to be in both Doha and Muscat. Both had to withdraw due to minor injuries if I’m not mistaken.
I assume, it was too late for changes to the planned 6 player Lineup.

Kuai Man has already answered that question. Beating China is not the only standard. Korea(s), Germany, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei also have serious plans so let us see how it all plays out. North Korea and Germany are especially interesting wild cards.

I guess it's SXY's turn to take the ranking points. KM, SXY, and QTY are marching their way towards the top 10. They'll probably be bumping into each other and other top CNT women as well, but at some point in the year there's a high probability that they land there.

His 3rd Ball Attack, Counter Topspin and Range is very strong. This Performance was definitely Ma Long/Wang Chuqin like.

If he gets his receive Game and his backhand more consistent, we might have our new almost unbeatable Chinese A Team Player. But more consistency is definitely still needed. At least for his receive game this success will definitely help him getting the exposure he needs.

yep
a pity HT couldn't win back to back, but at least he won the one with more points.
not sure how much of the doubles final has affected his singles performance, with just over 30 mins in between to really just change clothes and rest.
now some well deserved rest time for him, until Singapore which is just around the corner.

PS. I don't agree with doubles and singles on the same day. especially why have back to back finals on a very empty schedule last day
