Although it would have been nice to take another title, a 3-0 loss to Lee Eunhye by Hina says it's time to take a break before the WTT Finals. You can kind of see it already in Hina with a shaky 3-2 win over Kallberg. Like Miwa, Hina's been playing non-stop so needs a break as well. It's all good though. The WTT Champions Frankfurt title was the big one she wanted and got.

Tough loss for Hirano against a quality opponent. An R16 finish at a Star Contender is only 5 pts whereas a QF would have been worth 105 points so Miu really needed this one. She'll drop 260 pts from her current 605 so 345 points which drops her to the low 70s (Orawan is currently 71 at 344 pts).

Although I knew Sakura Yokoi was capable of winning, I didn't expect 3-0 over Miyu Nagasaki. That's a really nice win for Sakura.
What we just saw was really bad, I hope needing yo take a break explains it.

ML same age and already retired. He also not on whellchair ))
ML retired in China playing for the top national team in the world. No longer the top player in his country. Timo retired at 44. Neither are apples to oranges for Quadri, but Toriola still played for Nigeria into his 40s. Just for perspective.

Eddyyyyy !! but poor Aruna, this has been a nightmare year for him, first he was disqualified in Pro A because Cergy's president Louise Adam has filled an atrocious lawsuit against Jura Morez, and then hired by... Cergy, happens what should have happened: karmic payback.

He should find another club next year, be it Rouen or Bruille, he would be a nice mentor to Flavien Coton, and the north of France region would welcome him way better, living in Valenciennes is really cool, it's a vibrant city, as Normandy is also with Rouen.

So you're suggesting he take the road to Rouen?!

I remember Russians being suspended. Was the suspension lifted, or was that just ITTF, and doesn't apply to WTT?
They only follow the IOC rules allowing russians and belarussians athletes to compete under a neutral flag, the AIN in french (Athlete Individuel Neutre) rule, means Individual Neutral Athlete

Politics should be out of sports, I know... it's impossible for China, USA, Russia, South Africa because their drug enhancement, say doping, system is powered by the politics there. Russians never ceased to compete in tennis in all ATP tournaments, and I think it's a right rule, in that case if we go there, why the israelis are not banned ? why the iranians are not banned because their politics support the houthis, the Hezbollah and the Hamas ? if all athletes had to be responsible for all the shit their politics do, you would have very few athletes participating.
