I hear red cars are faster than black ones, but I don't believe it.Why? I have found many discussions on different behavior between red and black sheet of the same rubber, so I wouldn't be surprised...
This makes sense though.
I am in rubber business. Tolerances in rubbers are large. Manufacturers can only guarantee their thickness within +/- 10% from batch to batch. Within a batch tolerance is much tighter , around 5%. So whoever claims red and black cause performance difference is ignorant of this fact.
