The Tenergy 05 is a great offensive rubber, I´m using it on FH and BH on a Zhang Jike ALC. The rubber creates much spin with a low effort against backspin, flicks are great too. In the touch play you have much control. From away of the table low effort was needed to create a good arc. When blocking you have very much control. All in all the T05 is probably the best rubber I have ever played. 5 out of 5 stars!

I played this rubber a long time on my BH. You can open up the ball very well against backspin, blocking felt very controlled. But sometimes it felt like, I couldn't get that speedy ball. One negative aspect is the durability, the rubber died in my opinion way to early. If you want a good open up with your BH the Andro Rasant Grip is the best choice for you. I don't see the rubber on the FH (just my opinion). All in all it´s a good rubber. 4 out of 5 stars!

The Zhang Jike ALC is a great offensive blade. When playing you can create very much speed with great control. I´m using it with Tenergy 05 on FH and BH. It gives a great feeling, compared to my old Stiga Infinity VPS I felt a big difference. The only con is the price, in Germany 160 Euro. But after all it was worth it.

My local club uses these balls. I like them a lot. I think when they first came out they broke a lot easier and were less durable than the new batch of balls. They are fast and do not require to much effort. I am surprised they are not used in more major tournaments.

Well this is truly a great rubber. It has a similar feel to Tibhar evolution FX-P except the topsheet of rasant grip has much more grip than fxp. The sponge is very porous and very soft which allows a developing player to really feel the impact and vibrations through your paddle. This is a FANTASTIC rubber to develop your feeling and your strokes.

Slow spinny loops are a breeze with this monstrosity, but power looping is a bit difficult since he really does lack speed. This is the rubber that a control player who loves to spin the ball would use. The only down side to this rubber is the lifespan. If you're using this rubber you're the kind of player who grazes the ball heavily to get the good spin from the rubber. Unfortunately it's also extremely noticable when the rubber dies and I had to replace the rubber every 1.5 months. Luckily I buy my rubbers in bulk and if you buy from tt11 you can get them for 30USD per sheet. Not too expensive.

I recommend this rubber to all developing players.

Plies: 5W+2AC. Limba – Limba – Arylate Carbon - Ayous - Arylate Carbon –Limba – Limba

Feeling: Medium Soft due to 2 plies of limba and carbon layer more centrally aligned.

Craftsmanship: Beautiful as always. With the new hologram at the back of the handle it looks precious.

Weight Distribution: Top heavy. The blade's shape is little oval and not round.

Power: Good from mid distance and close.

Speed: Off+ (As per my skills)

Control: The ball sinks little deep due to limba. Counters and other control shots will feel good if not used with a super fast rubber.

Precision: Once you are in sync with this blade it is very accurate to place the ball any where on the board.

Thickness: 6.0 mm.

Blade Size: 157 x 150 mm.

Grip Comfort: Since I like slim flared grips this works perfect for me. Others might differ.

Chinese Rubber bonding:
Haven't tried any Chinese rubber on this blade.

Euro-Jap Rubber bonding: Awesome pairing with Tenergy and other tensors.

I've loved this shoe. Very durable. I've used it for 9 months but now grip is gone. (Over 350 hours) The grip surface is totally melted. If the surface is dusty also, this is really an issue. I move a lot in and out of the table, spinny attacker from both wings. The grip is very important since you have to place your foot strongly. If the place where yoy play has a GerFlor (good and grippy surface), you won't have a problem. But in a gym or a sport arena like basketball arena, you will have problems when the grip is melted.

EDIT: After 6 months of further use I have to make a new assessment about this rubber

In a nutshell, this is exactly like T64 but different enough to make a distinct difference unlike the G-1 and T05 comparison. Its faster, less bouncy, less spinny , significantly less dwell time and less control, but more feel and insensitive to spin.

EDIT 2: I notice some quality control issues after a talking to a chap of mine. He complained about the lack of speed with this rubber and sure enough after i tested it, it was slow and controllable unlike the one i had which was too fast. As if by fate, my Hong Kong friend told me his mates had the same issue. One said it was too quick while another said it was slow. I personally enjoyed the slow version of the rubber but unless u can tell the future, you probably cant tell which version you will be getting. You've been warned.

Pro
Not sensitive to spin. This makes blocking very good.
You can feel the ball and tell where it hits the rubber, you cant find this in ternergy
Its very direct so you can control the trajectory well but the dwell time might be an issue

Cons
its not very spinny. Its very fast but a simple counterhit will put the ball right back at you
Its very fast with less dwell which makes flicking and looping underspin very very hard as the rubber is not tacky so it has very little grip to generate spin and the significantly small dwell time means your margin of error is very small as you have to be very quick.
Its hard to keep it short. I find it more effective to chop it deep for heavy spin than trying to touch it in short.

Conclusion
This is like a weaker version of T64. I honestly would use T64 anyday for BH unless it doesnt synergise well with your blade. This is why i tried this rubber as T64 was just too hard to keep the ball on the table while putting pressure on my opponent with JM ZLC. Fastarc S1 solved this problem due to it being less bouncy. However the small dwell and small gripiness makes it hard to perform advance spin based techniques such as flicking and looping underspin. Therefore I would not use this rubber as a T64 replacement as you really only can block and counterhit which may not be enough if your opponent is very skilled.

Pros

Cons

The carbonado 145 was a blade I used for a good 3-4 months. The blade was very stable, and the best way I can describe the blade would be that it was one of the best viscaria's I ever owned. The blade played extremely similar to the viscaria and timo boll spirit, however it had a much better feeling. It had more vibration and a larger sweet spot. You really can't beat the quality of wood that you get from stiga.

The blade had the most strength at mid range looping but didn't lack at the short or long game. There's plenty of power and I would much rather go back to this blade than any other carbon blade in it's class. It has a limba outer ply and that could be the cause of the better feeling.

The only issues I had with the blade was the need to sand the wings of the blade (which is very common with all stiga blades), the price for what you're getting, and the lack of wow factor. When I say it has a lack of wow factor what this means is the blade was just too boring. It was well balanced and played well but I couldn't tell anyone yea its really good in this aspect. Because it simply wasn't really great in any area of the game. It was good in all areas, but it made the game kind of boring.

Pros
  • Soft, solid feel
  • Amazing gears
  • Perfect handle
Cons
  • Muted feedback
Having used this blade since September, coming from a Timo Boll ALC, my experience is very similar - the blade has a slightly softer feel despite the same composition, and has a more rounded flared handle.

Composition: Koto - ALC - Limba - Kiri (supposedly balsa?) - Limba - ALC - Koto

The blade is perfect for the plastic ball, using Tenergy 05 and 64 it pairs very well, and has many gears (i.e. speed but necessary touch when needed). Backhand touch play and pushes sometimes tend to drift long, most likely due to Tenergy 64, but overall there is no need for a faster blade unless you are a hitter/blocker or an extremely high level player, especially when using Tenergy (or Evo/Bluefire series).

The only downside is the slightly muted feedback - the minimal vibration will definitely hinder amateur/intermediate players with a lack of touch - all wood is more suited until you have great touch and service receive.

Overall, this is a 5* blade and has been my blade of choice for over 6 months.

I have recently borrowed this blade from a friend as we wanted to swap so they could try my Boll ALC. I have used the Maze t Tec for 7 months now as I thought it would really help my game as it will help me with my shots. My results in tournaments have improved so I think this slower blade has helped me with my accuracy and ball placement. Chop Blocks are deadly with this blade!

Been using this blade for just over a month now. I really enjoy playing with it and can't really fault it in that respect, but after the first time I tried to change my rubbers, a strip of the blade splintered. Whether this is to do with my gluing or just the durability - I am not 100% sure. I haven't had this issue with any other blade. Other than that, faultless blade with great balance of speed and control with a comfortable grip and nice weight

My favorite FH rubber atm

Analogy
1: Like H3 neo boosted but faster and with less spin
2: Like T05 but spinnier, more feel and less catapult effect hence slower but more control

Pros:
1. Insensitive to incoming spin so its good close to table and short play and blocking (push, touch, flick etc)
2. Good dwell and control
3. Just the right amount of tackiness. Serves and loops are very spinny but not so much that you require alot of effort to impart speed on shots (Like H3)
4. Great feel. You can tell if you've done something wrong and the amount of spin. Allowing for adjustments next shot and for development of technique if it is not perfect

Cons
1. Pricy like T05 (but the 1.8mm is often on clearance sale which significantly reduces the price)
2. Not so good for pro players with 100% perfect technique as you require good technique for good shots and this margin of error is small

Neutral points (Good or bad depending on your POV/ level/ style/ demograph )
1. No bouncy/catapult effect like T05. Meaning less speed and kill potential but more control and no need to worry about loops overshooting table even with ZLC close to table
2. Not as easy to find compared to other top tier rubbers
3. Like H3, it teaches you how to properly loop backspin via great feeling of the topsheet. It rewards proper technique and punishes improper/half ass loops.
Good for developing/ pseudo advance players. Bad for pro players who can do this with every rubber as the margin of error is small and not beneficial in match play

Conclusion
Great rubber for intermediate to advance level players who want something like T05 but less speed more control and is useful for developing technique (particularly loops)

Pros

Cons
  • head heavy
This is a great blade and its head heaviness may appeal to some people. IT has a larger head so using heavy rubbers may not suit some people. I use it with a relatively light modern rubber (Hexer) so it doesn't bother me.

The blade itself is a fast OFF- and some would say OFF. It supports both flat hitting and looping equally well and is a good blade for someone who wants speed and control and is not willing to use a composite or a 7 ply. I very much prefer it to the Allround S, Offensive S and Primorac OFF-, which are all great blades in their own right.

Pros
  • Good blocking
  • Strong topsheet
  • Great spin
Cons
  • relatively slow
Whether the rubber being relatively slow is a negative depends on your perception - it is faster with a lower throw than Donic Baracuda, but is definitely a high throw rubber. IT is not as fast as Tenergy 05/80, but the increased control on blocks and in the short game will be sufficient compensation for the right kind of player. The topsheet is extremely strong and supports the strains of brush looping extremely well, so you could almost play with it like a Chinese rubber if that is your preferred looping style, though it is much faster and definitely an Euro rubber if contrasted with anything tacky.

I like it because it supports a loop everything style at the lower levels. I pretty much try to loop even the most ridiculous balls when using this rubber because I trust the grip not to slip under pressure. Definitely should be revisited by more people in the plastic ball era. Now my favorite rubber of all time. The ball moves faster and breaks more than the harder sponged rubbers I usually prefer and I don't lose enough when brush looping to miss the hard sponge.

Hi everybody,

After played with Tibhar CCA7 for 2 weeks, I'd like share the review of this brand new product of Tibhar. Here's my review :

Note : The setup I've been using is Tibhar CCA7 with Tibhar Evolution MX-P rubber on both sides.

Before I'm playing with Tibhar CCA7, I used Nittaku Barwell which also a 7-plies all wood blade. Surprisingly, it doesn't take too much effort for me to adjusting with Tibhar CCA7. Usually it will take 1-2 months for me to get along with new blade and although it's only an all-wood blade, this blade doesn't lack of speed at all. I can kill the ball easier with Tibhar CCA7 (also thanks to Evolution MX-P rubber). The amount of dwell time also really great. I can generate a lot of spin easily even with Evolution MX-P rubber which has the hardest sponge of the Evolution series.

Short game is also really important in modern game and I think this blade also excel in this part. I can control the short game better than before. The combination of touch and spin are very good. One of my favourite stroke is backhand flick and with Tibhar CCA7 I can execute backhand flick with a very great balance of speed & spin.

When looping using Tibhar CCA7, I feel the ball really sink into the blade. It's like using 5-plies blade but with more speed on it. I don't need to put much effort in looping backspin ball. Counter-topspin very solid from close & mid distance. Sometimes, I also like to fish & lob the ball and when using Tibhar CCA7 my lob get more precise because the amount of feels that the blade produce, give me more confidence in fishing & lobbing game.

The downside of this blade is in passive blocking game. When I did some passive blocking, the ball came to the net really often. To fix this, I need to give more forward action so the ball can go to the other side of the table.

In my opinion, Tibhar CCA7 will suit for offensive & all-round player, especially looper who needs a good speed without lacking too much control. Passive blocker won't like to use this blade.

Here is some background about myself to give some more perspective on my review. I've played for about 2 years and have just started going to local tournaments. I am unranked but ridiculously passionate about table tennis and strive to become a great player. I read and research everything related to the game that I can find. With that said - here is my review.

I love the Rising Dragon rubber. It's by far my favorite of my 4-5 various rubbers I've used.

I struggled with my short game for a long time until I got these rubbers. Playing short pushes feels very natural and comes with ease - which of course makes returning service much easier. It produces a great amount of spin on my top spin shots which has helped my backhand improve immensely.

The throw angle of the rubber does make it difficult to hit flat shots. I'm still getting used to hitting a flat forehand smash after about 2-3 months of playing with these rubbers. I also struggle making shots when I get backed away from the table. Making a strong attack from mid court requires great precision and a very accurate stroke.

This is a fantastic rubber for both FH/BH. Ill say BH is better.

Pros
Control and blocking is great. Short game is excellent and flicks/punches are easy. Serves are spinny and shots are powerful and fast

Cons.
Despite being the softest in the evolution series, it feels more like medium.
Its slightly more difficult to lift underspin as the topsheet is not as grippy for the loops. But easily adjusted and is easy after that. Just need more effort
Loses power after mid and far distance. This is due to medium throw angle and diffulty of lifting

Conclusion
Great close to the table rubber especially for the BH. lacks power in mid-long distance even with JM ZLC. Great for punching and flicks as well.
