So does D05 lasts longer than tenergy?
To simulate real play they probably shot balls at different locations on the rubber surface with the highest frequency at the sweet spot. More visible damage on T05 presumably reflects more total damage. Why is the spot on T05 much bigger than on Dignics?
To me it looks like they shot more balls with larger dispersion at T05.
It would be beyond foolish for them publish easily falsifiable data. For what it's worth, the few early reports I've heard suggest Dignics is in fact more durable than Tenergy. What makes you think they did a fair comparison?
These were put through mechanical testing by shooting balls at it repeatedly.
I'd rather just wait until hundreds people start reporting their findings with D05 vs. T05.
Methodically, that would show relative wear, given the same number of identical hits — for the type of contact generated with one particular angle, spin, speed, ball. Different types of feed, different contact angles and different balls can be expected to fit the pattern, but that’s no absolute certainty.
So this testing method is insightful, but within its limit.
Furthermore, a sample size of one counts as anecdotal. Significant measurements require a large sample size.
