The spectacular Kuwait Open concluded today on the 20th March 2016. The super World Tour event saw the worlds top 5 in both the mens and womens singles enter. Ma Long led the men's singles followed closely by Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin, Zhang Jike and Dimitrij Ovtcharov. In the women's singles Liu Shiwen led the seedings followed closely by Ding Ning, Zhu Yuling, Ai Fukuhara, and Kasumi Ishikawa. The Men's Singles Final saw Zhang Jike versus Ma Long. In the women's singles final saw Ding Ning face Li Xiaoxia.

Lots of great matches took place throughout the Super World Tour. In the semi final stages Zhang Jike eliminated Fan Zhendong and Ma Long defeated Xu Xin. The final saw the two arch rivals face one another, Ma Long vs Zhang Jike. Zhang Jike has stopped the dominance of Ma Long winning by 4 sets to 1 (11-9, 11-9, 5-11, 12-10, 11-9). This is the first World Tour Zhang Jike has won since the Kuwait Open back in 2013 where he beat Ma Long.
