I am Kai!
I have been playing for 6 years and getting more and more serious.
For the past two years, I play regularly at Club Joola Rockville (USA) and some community centers. This year I worked at Club Joola as salesman, assistant coach. I was pretty much doing whatever people needed and I 'll try my best.
Now I am in college and on UMBC school team as a No.4 player.
My best achievement is winning an U1300 Tournament. (it doesn't quite sound like an achievement)
I am crazy on rubbers. I tried all the Joola rubbers because I have reduced price. I also collect used rubbers from my friends. I tried random rubber from Zeropong.com too, which has cheap and awesome rubbers. I am quite stingy on almost everything, but when it comes to table tennis, I don't behave like a poor student.
I am very comfortable with academics, even in college now, I barely study and get straight A's. I am very competitive in math. In 2005, I won a Bronze metal in a Chinese National Mathlete competition. So carry over the same mentality to table tennis, what I had was self-doubt, frustration, anger and discontent. Over time, I learn to enjoy playing and play to play table tennis, not play to win. Interestingly, this play-to-play mentality actually speed up my table tennis progress. When I apply this mentality to everything else, life is really not as hard as I think.
Maybe I can say, table tennis enlightens me.

Hello everybody,
My name is Jerzy and I live now in the suburbs of Warsaw, Poland. I am 53, have been playing for 10 years since 1972 but had to stop in 1982. Since then I've been playing occasionally once per a few months. I also have some coaching experience, in 1981/82 I've been coaching youngsters in my club in Warsaw and (rather by accident) in 1989/90 in a club near Paris, France. In spring 2008, as I needed some physicall activity to lose weight I decided to restart playing, and almost immediately found that many of my old mates are either still playing or are coaches in several clubs, so I had an easy re-entry into the circuit.
Today I play recreationally in the 3rd division in Komorow, in the suburbs of Warsaw, where I also train my teammates. I also play once per week in one of the best clubs in Poland in Nadarzyn, where (though never with the best players), where my yougest daughter (7) also started to play last year.
My best achievements are rather outdated: in the period 1977-81 - several titles of Poland's academic champion or medalist, 1981 - Warsaw's champion, classed 34th in Poland. This year I will participate in vets championships but can't expect too much - in my age category there are still active players from the 2nd and even 1st division.
I am pleased to enter this forum and hope it will quickly develop.
Wish you all the best and success in your play. This is the best sport in the world !!!

My name is Joe Bulatao and I live in Las Vegas USA. I won first at the US Nationals U-1600 14 years ago. I have been building all kinds of Table Tennis related gadgets and I have them on You Tube under my username - joebulatao. I go to Nevada Table Tennis Club owned by Mr Jong Lee. He lets me use his my ping pong gadgets in his club. There I converted his Newgy Robot into a quick 5 second set-up and put away system. Recently I came up with a new invention, a very important tool for coaches, robot owners and multi ball players - The World's Best Ball Picker Upper. They featured it at the USATT newsletter last October and since then Ive been working overtime in my garage trying to keep up with the orders.
I'm Mark. I've been playing for 7/8 yrs. Last two yrs I was practising with my friend only individually cuz I don't have that much time now. Still enjoy tt very much...
