Togami suffering a really tough loss vs Wang Chuquin, he could never really get going, it was domination... Theres a top 10 player in there still I'm sure of it.

When I tuned it to check the live scoreboard, it was 11-3 x 3.
I told the coaches, guess the score, and they didn't believe me.

Feels like CNT gave the instruction to kill

What a shame... is CCY that bad at coaching or Kao Gheng-Jui too much naive ?

Seriously, if your player is injured before playing a guy like Félix Lebrun, don't play the regular chinese style. 3 times he tried the FH pivot on Félix's serve, 3 times punished because Félix has eyes everywhere and Kao isn't able to pivot at the last moment possible to mask his intentions.

He tried to play powerstyle, and took a severe punishment. The goal vs Félix is to slow down the pace, break the rhythm, why keeping on playing that way 4 games straight ?

Naive player, naive coach.

Another upset
Anyone that follows (and knows !) table tennis a bit knows that Gauzy isn't playing at his best anymore since 2 years because of a right shoulder tendonitis and mental health issues, it's not the first time he's defeated by a "supposed to be" lower ranked player.
Adrien Rassenfosse (n° 135 at that time), Yang wang at the 2021 WTTC, Yaroslav Zhmudenko in... WTT Contender Durban ! (hey southy, get your facts straight... it was in your town !) who was only n°145 at that time, and many more !

He's now focused on doing well with Prithika for the mixed doubles cos' he knows it will probably be his only chance to be in Paris Olympics next year. That's why beating the world N°3 french pair Lebesson/Yuan means a lot to him, the FFTT will probably put all its efforts to make that Pavade/Gauzy pair be the most competitive possible.

And about the supposed french cheatings: anyone that is a bit serious in rugby knows that Rassie Erasmus is an idiot, even Jacques Nienaber can't stand him anymore and that's why he prefers to stop with the SARU and be the Leinster's coach next season after the RWC in France.

Rassie thinks Super Rugby League is the alpha and omega of rugby union. So why 4 SA provinces and specially the Sharks decided to not play anymore in Super Rugby and prefers the EPRC Champions Cup and Challenge Cup ? I mean, even his next captain now that Kolisi is out, Eben Etzebeth, knows that it's way more profitable to SA provinces to play the european cups with the true rules, the World Rugby rules.

The SANZAAR has killed the south hemisphere rugby unions leagues with stupid rules, like the 20 mn sin bin for a red card ! that's why guys like Du Toit do now understand why they are definitely fired from a game when they headbut a... french centre

Is Du Toit being stupid ? no ! he follows Rassie's antics, he's a "good soldier following orders", problem is: with World Rugby laws, a red card is NOT a 20 mn sin bin, you don't come back and your team plays with 1 guy less !

So Before talking about cheatery, get your facts straight southies

Nice one southies: blurred camera many times, doubles played in a tiny playground instead of the more logical T1 or T2 for the n°1 seed chinese pair. And it's not my connection that lags, as you can see it's not live, I wanted to wait and rewind to see if I was not mistaken...

Amazing match between Aruna and Robles.

Gutted for Quadri. Along with making some amazing shots, he also missed way too many easy balls with the Robles on the backfoot away from the table. Probably a sign he was just too amped up.
Robles is a good player - you could play the match 10 times and get coin flip results. Can't complain about losing to good players.

I initially thought he pointed towards the crowd, but upon rewatching I reckon he gave WCQ a sarcastic thumbs up on (supposedly) hidden serve.
It was a flash in the chinese crowd, as usual... they're known for those wrong manners, Alexis does not handle well an hostile crowd, Félix has no problem whatsoever with that though. If you watch again the referee gave a look at the crowd, that's why she didn't give Alexis a yellow card for his anger.

Alexis already said that his last defeat vs Flavien Coton in Bruille was , partly, due to the loud and hostile french northern fans cheering for Flavien
"Q: A word on Flavien Coton, who is 15 years old, junior world champion last December, who beat you?

A: Yes, for sure he plays really well, especially for his age, he is a world champion. He really bothered me, I couldn't play my game, I was completely lost and stressed. I'm quite disappointed with my performance, I was taken by the event, by the public, that the room of Bruille is full was not easy to manage. He played really well, played his luck thoroughly. But there will be other matches, because we're going to have it for a while (laughs), I think we'll play each other again and I'll try to take my revenge."

Proof that China isn't so much confident anymore if they have to behave like that.

You don't play in the best european league by chance... Alvaro is a damn fighting spirit guy, a true european latin like the portuguese, spanish, italian and greek people are ;-)

EDIT: Natanel Molin was indeed complaining about the wrong refereeing, arguing that she was allowing hidden serve and raising hands from the chinese pair, in violation of the laws of serves and continuous play. So yeah it was not the crowd, I apologize.

But hey, whatsoever I stand my ground: China is clearly playing dirty after this and Ma Long vs Eugene Wang. It's in South Africa, a BRICS country, now we are even more sure that the dice are loaded. They are loosing their confidence more and more at each tournament.

Won't be the same deal next year in Paris, WTT will have nothing to dictate there. And as it will be in Paris, many northern ch'ti french people will be there, it's the biggest FFTT "province" in France, with the most loud and hostile crowd in Lille and Bruille. Beware chinese crooks... we are waiting for you...

I couldn't quite make it out either. It seemed to me like he was complaining about the crowd, and the thumbs up to WCQ was to let him know that he wasn't complaining about him.

If it's a flash in the crowd he should've called let, but he'll learn from experience.

Take the video 1 minute forward, you'll see Natanel Molin talking to the referee about her wrong serve calls about Alexis (who has ALWAYS complied to her desiderata each time she told him to do the right thing) and about the chinese systematic raising hand and hidden serves behaviors. In french you can hear at a very low volume Alexis complaining to coach Molin after he shakes chinese hands.

You have to bear in mind that these guys are strong minded about justice: when Félix did a wrong serve called a let by the referee vs Kao Cheng-Jui, he gave the point to Kao showing the ball touching his shirt. When a ball touches the edge in his side, you'll always see Alexis pointing it with his fingers, he does not even wait for the referee's decision.

This is the video from the french broadcaster LEquipe

Now... the WTT one... that does not show Félix's fair play

You can't be more fair play than those boys. China knows it, so they play dirty.

Sounds like he needs to complain a bit less and play a bit better. Maybe it's just a youth thing, WCQ used to be a bit of a whiner as well.

I'm traveling in Italy right now, so can't watch almost any of the matches live. I just watched the ML vs. Eugene Wang one, what's the issue there? Seems like a pretty typical case of the ball hit from outside the table then bouncing down when hitting the edge so it's called a side. Besides, ML dominated the rest of the sets, so it's not like it was a close call in a tight match either.
