It looks like Team Germany did their preparation for this match.
Dima knows what to do.
Both players with incredible showing.
Lin hat do work very hard for his points and he was surprised by how well Dima played both tactically and in the rallies.

Lin is very comfortable in the rallies but so is Dima.
Dima mostly backs away from the table which puts him in a disadvantage.
Lin is very agile and can consistently deliver fast and well placed shots which give him most of the rally points.

Dima wins more points in the first 4 balls.
If Lin can survive those, he most likely wins the point.

Timeout at 5-6 by Lins Coach, not a fan of that.

2-0 for Dima.

Dima might let lose now, give away 2 sets, Lin comes back, at 0-2 in the final set, Dima finds himself back into the match and then it will get better.

However you feel about his moaning and groaning, Dima is a big match player. But Lin is supposed to win this if he finds his full form.
Proof that individual events of WTTC are not big. LOL

2-0 Lead for Taipei
Dima might let lose now, give away 2 sets, Lin comes back
11-9 for Lin in the 5th
Will be a hard fight but Lin might just win.
Now that i am on it,
My predictions are;
Franziska 3-1 vs Kao
He might get an issue with the ref as well.
Franziska might just bruise past Kao once he gets into the match.

Then comes the most important match.
Lin vs DQ
Unless DQ finds his peak form, Lin should be able to win the points much more easily, unlike against Dima.
DQ does not like to back away from the table and and his service receive game is not strong enough to deny Lin his attacks.

The victory of the Taipei team over the German team with such a devastating score highlighted the big problems of the German team. One of them is the lack of young players who could replace the star generation of Timo and Dima.
That said, Taipei's young players are shining. I will root for this young team, definitely, well done!

Chuang did pretty well, was always going to be a challenge with him challenging his age, so far he still has it

Kao constantly beating top level players will just cement his spot in the top of the world faster.
still young in both age and pro years, I'm sure in the coming years, he would be very solid and will see how high he can go.

Lin is going to be there for the next while

with Feng and Huang on the bench, this is likely the strongest TPE team for the past 3 decades.

il will be very difficult for Team France tomorrow but I hope the bros will make it to the final !
just imagine, TPE making the finals from loosing to Japan.
just shows tensorbackhand, how good HT really is by taking 2 points against TPE.
I wonder which other player has taken 2 points against TPE

TPE now have 1 all star player and 1 former all star, and 1 future all star.
So if they can all peak, it will be difficult for France and maybe even China (recall CHN vs TPE Asian champ 2023)
