It depends. I think top table tennis is a mental game and I am not sure Lin Yun Ju has a better read of the game than Harimoto. Yes his technical foundation is better in most/many ways, but even then, it isn't entirely clear that this is as important as being able to read the game better. And I think relative to that level, for what both their deficits are, I think technical foundation is easier to build than ability to read the game as technical ability will respond to training but game reading may not so much, which is why Harimoto can catch up to Togami and have better results against foreigners despite being clearly at an athletic deficit. All three are still 4 years away from their peak years, barring injury. So there is still a lot of growth for all of them in everything.I think rather Lin Yun-Ju has these capabilities than Harimoto to be honest.
