Well, congrats to team France! Felix looks unbeatable. In his current form and Ma Long's current form I think tomorrow might really be the time that team China finally falls from the podium. We can all see team Korea and team Japan challenging China, who could've guessed that it may actually be team France who finally takes down the goliath?

To be fair, if you rank the top 4 teams, Korea will beat France. I would say even Lim can beat Alexis on a good day.

Just to put out there, I am rooting for France. In a team event, a single weak link 🔗 in a chain = defeat. Alexis might be that tomorrow.

I feel like the Lebrun brothers are like an experiment in sports psychology to show the world how important mentality is in success. It's crazy how big of a difference the two are in that respect.

Being overshadowed by own younger brother is not an easy thing to deal with.

I don't see anyone on western forums, not even ERT guy can cover so indepth, but I need to chin up and can't even have the tools to "block" unnecessary trollers?

i'm sure if the same nonsense happens in USA, in MLB or NBA, (or any civilised countries) there will be legal repercussions, but in table tennis, its such a small sport, that things just get dusted under the carpet.

I've seen things for near 2 decades, the last decades a lot higher level stuff.
its stupid moments like this that make me feel i'm wasting my time because of a troll, so if @Dan can make such features, then maybe posters can enjoy posting without getting specific offender removing the enjoyment of others and I'm sure that it doesn't apply to me only.

Overall, this is a historic day for team France and also now solidifies the use of penhold again at the world stage which could have awesome implications. I hope that with more exposure to penhold we will start to see some more diversity in the sport!

You realize that the MLB doesn't have a salary cap, and rich teams routinely just buy the best players, right? Have trouble with Harimoto? Just pay him to be on your team! Don't even need to play him, just keep him away from Japan! Imagine that happening in the TT world. The NFL has had the "spygate" and the "deflategate" incidents involving the Patriots, the most dominant team until Tom Brady left them. Don't even get me started on the NBA's super teams.

We'll see which Alexis shows up. He's beaten both FZD and Alexis fairly recently, so at his best he's a formidable opponent. He just makes a lot more unforced errors compared to his brother.

At this high level championship, especially the final, mental strength and drive are extremely important.

Yes Alexis has the technical skills capable of defeating FZD and probably ML too. But the premise is that he operates in a strong mental state

How do you figure? In our original argument I said that SYS probably should have implied odds of winning of 80% of the time. That is a -500 favorite. If Hayata wins it'll mean she's beaten the odds.

You committed to Hayata never being able to win, so you'll have to wait until one of them retires in order to be proven right.

Tony, you'd be limiting his freedom to read or not read your post. We should never do that. If you ignore him, you limit yourself, you have the freedom for that.

As in the match said the referee: "Calm down." It's not that hot, we all like your posts, and if you feel something is unfair with CNT, I'm glad you post about it.
