It seems like Harimoto is getting more comfortable with his grown body and improve his FH greatly. Sad day for him, but remember - he's only 21 (!!!).
The next WTTC would be so interesting to see - Harimoto, LYJ, Felix Lebrun is all poised to be the next big thing. 21, 22, 17 respectively. But I think as great as he is, Lebrun is too mentally unstable and young for the brightest lights.

Lebrun just beat LYJ and Ovtcharov in a nail-biting 7 games. He's relatively stable for someone who's 17 years old.

She is fortunate to have Hirano take a hit for her at Asian Games 2022. Likewise, SYB has JJH and Harimoto/Hayata and WCT/DHK take a hit for her here.

Hayata keeps Japanese medal hopes alive for now so this isn't the 'worse Olympics ever' for Japan yet. If she gets bronze and above I'll be convinced that she's Japan's true number 1. She's proven that she's a cut above the rest once again by not tripping over the North Korean stumbling block that has befuddled everyone else.
