The difference is that WCQ could've had some easier matches to get used to his new primary racket before meeting the "big seeds".
OK. But he said the racket had nothing to do with the result and I think if you watch it again, he simply didn't play well, I can't see that the racket played too much a part in it.
Maybe I'm wrong and maybe WCQ just said what he said to be respectful but I have read that they practice with 3 different rackets.
I think ppl are making too much out of this racket issue myself so I really disagree on the luck thing. He was world No1 and he simply didn't play as well as he has done over the last yr.

Great match. Never ceases to amaze me how almost all CNT members can tap into another gear when it really counts to get the win.
Except this time they didn't. Other than saving matchpoint, every other point from 9-5 was played hesitantly/weird tactics. Long fast serve when WMY was already in forehand mode? And why was Hayata falling over for every other forehand?
