She will actually play together with Cheng Hsien-Tzu for Weinheim in the upcoming 1. Bundesliga season.
yep, that's for 1st half.
Cheng has been a regular in Europe for a long time.
The club has 3 foreigners, so it will be interesting how they will handle the roster and if Chien will have much game time.

I understand that if the players don't leave, they will just register them irrespective if they going to play or not. (I found 2 players that have retired and are still registered to play haha)

TPE has another player (Huang Yu-Chiao) for Berlin too.
and another player in Pro A (Liu Hsing-Yin)
Liu will play 4 matches with her current trip and I'm guessing Huang and Cheng/Chien will only play in December.
They all need to be back in Taiwan for national senior trials 1st week of Nov and then rankings a week later.

Shi Xunyao 3-0 over KM. KM's stroke seems too long to me for being that close to the table. SXY strokes are compact yet powerful. With Miwa out, SXY looks to be a lock for the top half. Bottom half is open: Nagasaki, Yokoi, Chen Yi, QTY are contenders to come out of the bottom half.

Yeah, Rachel Sung is still listed for Weinheim (I dislike that practice). Ece Harac is exempt from the foreigner restriction rule, same as Daria Trigolos. Let me ask the manager when I see him what the plan is for the Taiwan players.

Miyu won against Zhu CZ rather comfortably 3-1 !! her QF will be a "T-League match" against the winner of Uesawa v Yokoi

I'm betting for Miyu to win this tournament
Make that 3-0. Can't give your opponent a free game :ROFLMAO:

you seem to know her well don't you?
Okay, we all know you don't and I actually know her in person.

she lacks international matches with higher levels and Paris was a huge surprise in just taking part (she jumped the queue of 2 to 3 players in the last min and only had chance for teams, not even singles). Her build up to Paris was too fairy tell

She has the ability, but she needs more exposure.
I actually spoke to her today saying I have setup links to European clubs, so maybe I can help her sign up some where.
Ahem, I have a friend who is the childhood friend of DHK, and what have I learned about her game from that friend? Zilch.

Lack of international exposure is an excuse. She started competing in 2014 and played a lot of top-tier events between 2016 and 2019 before the pandemic hit. She started again in 2023, beat KM and climbed up the ranking ladder rather quickly. That usually means her game has something different enough from the current trend not to be put down to mere luck. But going forward (cracking the top 40), she has to increase her attacking power and that means hitting the gym. Otherwise, she will get stuck like LYJ.

CY 3-2 Kim Nayeong (-12, -7, 3, 5, 7)

KNY showed a lot of promise back at WTT CT Zagreb 2022 where she took out KM, but then she faded into the background.

you don't know much I see, its okay, i'm not surprised.

btw, you should ask your childhood friend to speak to DHK and ask if she knows who Tony is.
PS, don't mention Taiwan or South Africa

that would be great :)

I was supposed to see Cheng tomorrow to collect some of her donation goods.
Else I could have a good chat with her in person.
The coach I wanted to see won't be there tomorrow, so I will stay put.

Huang (Yu-Chiao) will drop off the goods, since her home is around the corner from me and she will come home tomorrow before flying out in a few days time (they all live on the base and go home on some off days - Saturday evening to Sunday evening basically).

In case I was not clear, your acquaintance with Chien and whatever secret insights you hint at possessing mean little to me because it still comes down to how she plays in the matches, which are available for all to see.

WD QF
Yokoi/Odo 3-2 Fan Siqi/Li Yake
G5 15, 1311

That time of the month for Odo? Played like crap in the opening of G5 but recovered in time to make it to deuce.
Just had a chance to watch this. Great comeback by Japan saving 4 match points against them.

Great situational awareness from Odo:

HE beaten by CHEN Yi 2-3. She was 0-10 down in G5….

CY played not too fast with 100% consistency BH to BH baiting HE to switch and counter her with FH

CY unlike SYS or CM doesn’t look like a wrestler. It seems she is quite tall to compensate for that.

Miyu NAGASAKI will face her in semis. Easy 3-0 over YOKOI. Come on Miyu !!!
