3rd time is the charm (or 11th if counting domestic encounters).

That might even already be the case with her beating Manika so decisively and CXT losing to Goda.
Very true, but the CNT seem to love CXT so much even when QTY has had good performances. I think if QTY can prove that she can win through the high pressure of being the last CNT lady in the draw then it will be a for certain she will leap CXT, but it could be already true given CXT loss to a 16 year old

Bravo Cheng I-ching. Amazing performance when the crowd's support throughout the game was quite one-sided, (Maybe Hana was the underdog, but still I felt that Cheng I-Ching deserved better from the crowd). I was thinking why not serve short to Hana's forehand side and then capitalize on the comparatively weak return and then I saw Ching I-Ching serving more and more on her forehand. I think Hana in her current form will have a lot of difficulty receiving the reverse pendulum serve; strangely, in the women's game, very few use this serve.

On a side note,
It took me a lot of time and effort to learn the very basic version of the reverse pendulum serve and It does make a lot of havoc. Reverse pendulum serve with consistent backhand is scary good combo. (Assuming everyone has a decent forehand already)

It’s definitely not in QTY favour for sure, but QTY is very good at just returning her opponents shots back and frustration them as seen against Batra and WYD. So if she can do that and get her backhand in then she has a chance

sad for Mima. "only" 24 but it looks she's already too old to play her style. she's a fraction less reactive and sharp than she used to be. and people know how to play her. ODO just served long to her BH like (for example) CM does...
painful to watch. maybe after all Zeio will be proven right and we'll see an early retirement from Mima ???
Is it early retirement if you quit after a great ten-year pro career? She accomplished the most in her generation. Will any of these younger girls win more, even Miwa? Remains to be seen.
