Well, Chinese seemed to have restored the house order by winning both crowns in this WTT event.

Chinese women have higher relative strength than their male compatriots. When at least one of the top three players shows up, they usually grab the title with ease. With WMY in the line up, the title is in good hands. For men, China is really luck to find a young LSD who has just entered his prime and his playing level is so high that few of the pros can really threaten him when he is fresh and play at his normal level.

Is LSD a prodigy? Or was fzd also playing this level at age 19?
Well, FZD was eye catching at 16 and progressively got better. But at 19, I'll rank LSD slightly above FZD, after LSD's performance in the last couple of months.

What LSD achieved in last two months was truly impressive. His winning density at this particular period may be historical.

The player who should answer that question (FZD) is still on vacation. Of course both LSD and FZD are prodigies, but LSD needs to beat FZD in the way that FZD couldnt beat ML.

Rassenfosse not convincing?
I don't see him getting beyond a sub-topper but obviously hope for his sake that he can surpass himself.

Sorry @zeio, it's not correct, it's out of frustration ;-) But the goal is not to return everything, the goal is to play so that it is unreturnable ;-) Yes, LSD is fantastic, (and I'm simplifying), but he is playing in the 1st strategy (if simplified), A.K. is on the 2nd strategy, yes!, and actually WCQ too, there is more potential if the head is OK... And ultimately, the physique will also play a role - imagine the advantage of players like Franciska... Cheers.

Hmm, if you put it that way, then China has been lucky for decades since 容國團/Jung Kuo-Tuan/Rong Guotuan, who was born in Hong Kong but refused to play for the Brits. 谷愛淩/Gu Ailing/Eileen Gu is kind of like that, born in the US but chose to represent China after competing for the US 2 times.

Likewise, the Harimoto siblings, who were born in Japan (no citizenship by birth), were still Chinese citizens by nationality until they chose to represent Japan (which required citizenship) in 2014. Tieba users have been feeling sorry for Miwa's brother and brainstorming for a solution...

日本男乒团体人员还有更好选择吗? (Are there any better choices for Japan's men's team?)

There are still 4 years (China will test-fly the rocket for moon landing in 2026), and Miwa's brother has already blocked twice the transfer of power from FZD to WCQ/LSD. So fingers crossed.
