Our 2024 'Table Tennis Quiz of the Year'. Running our giveaway of 2x rubbers to one random participant again!

Hey TTD Community,

As is becoming a regular tradition, we've built a 2024 quiz covering the year's events in the table tennis world. This year, we definitely made it a bit easier so we're hoping to see a few people hit the 12/12 max score.

Questions cover one specific event from each month of the year, all covered as part of our fortnightly newsletter.

I already posted this over on Reddit (hi to anyone on both forums!) and the max score claimed was 10 out of 12. Based on the people I know on the TTD community, I would be surprised if someone doesn't crack the 12/12 pretty quickly!

Oh, and we're giving away any 2x brand new rubbers of your choice, randomly, to one lucky entrant who provides their email. You don't need to give your email to get your quiz score - just tap "See my score without entering" after the last question, but I think most players here would enjoy our fortnightly newsletter which we've been running for nearly 2 years now and get great feedback about.

Holy moley! This 'watch' feature on TTD is just unusable. I naively thought I'd receive emails if anyone responded to the thread

The winner was announced a few weeks ago via email. I'll quote some of that email here so everyone can see

I hope everyone enjoyed our 2024 ‘Quiz of the Year’. It’s always fun pulling these questions together and seeing how people do.​

It’s even more fun to announce our winner! A huge congratulations to Ali A. from New York, USA. They chose to pick a Dignics 09C and a Hurricane 3 NEO Provincial, both rubbers we’ve reviewed and love.​

Here’s a picture they kindly sent of the rubbers when they arrived, along with a little bonus pack of DHS DJ40+ 3* balls.​

Of course, commiserations to everyone else who entered and didn’t win. Perhaps boasting about your score was a small consolation prize.​

You might be interested in some stats about how everyone did in the quiz:​

The hardest question, amazingly, asked about where Dimitrij Ovtcharov picked up his WTT Contender title. Only 38% of people knew it was in Lagos, Nigeria. The easiest question asked about which European star beat Wang Chuqin at the China Smash event. Nearly 84% of people correctly guessed it was Anders Lind. Only 20 people got the maximum score of 12/12. It was a tough quiz!
