Instead of relying on anti to wait for an opponent mistake like a lot of us and even some indian pros do, she uses it to set up a big fh attack/rally. I guess her gameplan is to stop any initiative from the opponent and then immediatly uses her fh (and in some specific case twiddling to use backside bh) to take an advantage and finish the point. At this, slick anti works like a charm. When she can use her fh, is there a reason to use anti instead ? No.

And if the opponent makes a mistake because of the slick anti, then it's bonus
Sreeja Akula attacks like mad if you dare to push back her chopblocks too. The anti is simply a way to avoid being stuck in BH-BH rallying mode for Sabine, which an opponent can force onto you in way too many ways. If you can convert the game back to underspin, players who are better at FH loopkill will gain a decisive advantage.

correct

her all strategy isn't waiting for the mistake to happen, but rather to slow the tempo down and then to accelerate again.
we all can see what power she has on the fh side.
so playing against someone like Sabine who can slow the ball and then accelerate.... I would need to be on my toes the whole match.

A. Lebrun blocks Jorgic's 4th consecutive title. This marks the 3rd time Jorgic blocked Moregard after 2022 and 2024.

A. Lebrun did what every big brother would've done after his little brother got "bullied".

Could year 2025 become the point of convergence for A. Lebrun and F. Lebrun, after the point of divergence in 2023?

And Moregard's record against Omar Assar (2W1L, last one for Moregard at Paris 2024), Felix (3W1L) and Alexis (4W4L, last two for Alexis at ETTC 2024 and WTT CS Montpellier 2024)? Even WCT (1W0L at WTTC 2024) gave him hell. Not to mention Jorgic (3W4L, last one for Moregard at WTT CS Montpellier 2024).

Wow, the WS is not very promising. But maybe the youth are not ranked high enough to compete?

Yeah, the only young-ish player was Pavade, but she lost in the 1st round to Shan Xiaona.
+ Annett, Anna
maybe in a few more years we will see more youths

sadly womens tt in Europe does not match the glory of mens tt (very obvious from club/league level already)

A bit surprised that Han Ying actually beat Sabine Winter. I think Sabine didnt really train using the anti for off the bounce dropshots to kill the backspin and then following it up by powerful FH loopkills. Instead she was brute force looping very strong underspin chops by Han Ying which is how she usually plays with 2x inverted but is definitely not the ideal playstyle now that she has antispin BH.

She should take some inspiration from Ito who always destroys choppers using similar tactics.

(This is unbearable. How can there be a coach as lucky as Molin?)
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/9520961289

(Yesterday, Big [Le]B[run] won the Europe Cup. How could Molin be so lucky? He has no ability at all, but a pair of Monkey Brothers came down from the sky. In the Paris cycle, Small Monkey was erect and gave him the ITTF Best Coach. Now Small Monkey is in a slump, and Medium Monkey is rising again. SF at Singapore [Smash] and Europe Cup champion have breathed life into Molin.
Compared with other coaches, it really annoys me to death to compare with others. Rosskopf studied Small Monkey thoroughly, but 3 of the 4 German men were sent away by the Monkey Brothers. Old Persson was even worse. In the Paris cycle, he was like a donkey, managing techniques, administration and echelon construction. He finally got 2 silver medals for Sweden, but was kicked away by SBTF. His beloved disciple became a child without a mother. Look at our [Liu] Zhiqiang, who was devoted to Big [Trash] Bin [LJK] and even dragged his wife along. In the end, Bin didn't even win a continental title after all these years of busyness.
Which of these 3 people is not better than Molin in terms of coaching ability or emotional value? Why is he so lucky? I'm annoyed to death)

(No, you have to believe that some people are really bragging about how Molin's closed training was effective)
(It was still effective for Big B)
(Big B is an extremely talented freak, and it really has nothing to do with the coach. In 2022, he even beat Zhang Old Milk [JWJ], Bin [LJK] and Little Chubby [FZD], while playing coachless at that point. In the interview after winning the ETTC, he said that he did not know how he played those shots in the final that he had never managed even in training)
(I read Molin's interview in Japan. He is most opposed to the Chinese style of closed training, and is against almost anything that has to do with China. He advocates free range and emphasizes flash of inspiration. Whether it works or not is unknown, but those who praise his closed training definitely don't understand table tennis)
(Big B has a good foundation from childhood and is extremely talented. He has the firepower on both FH and BH, coupled with strength and speed. It could be better if he's coached by other coahces)
(He is also very smart. In the game of guessing Chinese objects by WTT, he could even guess what the clapperboard is used for. After playing with it for a few times, he almost learned how to use it)
