MD R16
Harimoto/Matsushima 2-3 Duda/QD (-6, 8, -6, 15, -5)
G5 48, 58, 511

Thank you to Matsushima and Togami for backing me up.
Poor Harimoto, a one-man army, but not the one in Hollywood movies...

Harimoto's dragged-out cholei at 1415 of G4, especially his extended dialog with Matsushima during the towel break, and his celebration of the next few points tell me he's frustrated but still trying to carry Matsushima.

Pistej again? Not surprised. His behavior toward Harimoto at WTTC 2017 is still vivid in my mind.

Not even a small surprise if you know how both of them are lol
Knowing a bit more about both of them and their personalities than the average online commenter, I would tend to believe Levenko's statement that Pistej was instigating him by mocking his "yes boy" catchphrase as well as insults that the microphone didn't pick up, that is not a rare thing to see with Pistej. But Levenko also clearly did instigate the collision during the side change lol.

Statement from Andreas Levenko about his match against Lubomir Pistej over on reddit.
Even denied bumping into Pistej when video evidence clearly shows him changing direction and bumping into him. Doesn’t matter if it was intentional or not he still bumped into him.

I don’t buy his excuse though this is what he said:
“I never bumped into him ! I was watching the floor focused on my breathing to maintain mental clearness. In order to deal with the psychological warfare 🙏🏼”.
If it was accidental then why did he change direction?

He definitely bumped into him, be intentional or not, and then he lied to to the umpire and said it was the other way even gesturing it.

Tbh Togami attacking style will surpass sooner of later, but he was lacking too much in other area before to take the torch
I'm joking a bit, but he definitely has made massive strides. Better defensive play for sure even if still a bit lacking.

There is a reason Togami still thinks he is inferior to Harimoto. He even mentioned the "ability to adapt" as the reason he went to Germany. One can't merely look at the upper limit while ignoring the lower limit.

For starters, win some MS titles and/or at least beat more top CNT players and/or European players. ATTC 2021 MS bronze, in the absence of CNT, is the only singles medal he has. LSD is the only top CNT player he has ever defeated (in 2023 when LSD just started out). Other than XX, Harimoto has defeated every top CNT player he has ever met at least once.

p.s.
Also, if only Togami was competent in the Paris 2024 cycle (Shinozuka was still better than him with 2 WTT titles, beating Jorgic and Jarvis in the final, respectively), Harimoto wouldn't have had to divert his energy away from securing a better seeding for MS and building better chemistry with Hayata for XD to hard-carry the team to the 4th seed in the MT event.

I personally believe Lubo was more wrong than Andreas, but the latter did bump into the former with at least some intent. But Lubo kicked the table, mocked Andreas’s celly, and talked shit to andreas during the match. Both are wrong but I’m on Andreas side personally

Probably bullshit but who cares lol. Sometimes two competitive athletes get a little heated especially when instigated.
