So where does it dispute the bombing? Writing that the shells were intended for some separatist is the same as isreal claiming to target hamas, while happily creating civilian casualties which is stupid because it willl just create even more will to resist. Saying that the separatist also attacked the government forces is a kindergarten excuse like "but the other kid hit first". Perhaps you have more insights in how it all started but you assuming that the separatists would have been the initiators of the agression sounds very unlikely, so what is your narrative?

Do you want to tell me that there was some disagreement with what the government decided or ruled and then suddenly separatists armed themselves and shot into west ukraine government backed regions totally unprovoked?

I know a story, but i am eager to learn what your ngo created narrative that you were told is.

As a sidenote my brother in law drove to ukraine by car to "rescue" some of his wifes relatives which we supported and enabled to live here now.

It is quite baffling to read this thread, to put it mildly, for someone who was born and grew up as a mostly russian-speaker in western Ukraine and whose formative years happened as USSR fell apart and Ukraine became independent.

On one hand you have Ukrainians who actually first hand experienced horrors of this war and continue to experience them on a daily basis. On the other hand, you have people so brainwashed by russian propaganda that they literally deny the lived experience of Ukrainians and see absolutely nothing wrong with telling them what is actually happening in their country and/or engage in banal whataboutism and sophistry...

I suppose this thread does serve a useful purpose - my ignore list more than doubled in length.
