I was talking about the pips of Bergstrom. Are you watching the matches or just the forum? If you aren't watching the matches, my comments (which are just based on thoughts that flow while watching the matches as if having a conversation) might fly way over your head.

since you've mentioned Bergstrom, would you be so kind to explain more, with your knowledge, like how pips can beat Chinese? what strategy and the gameplay are required to successfully defeat their power game? what are the strengths and weaknesses of pips?
lastly, when was the last time Bergstrom or pips player beat Chinese players?

FZD vs. Franziska match's 1st set was FIRE 🔥🔥🔥

The current generation of German players are really interesting- guys like Franz, Duda, Ovt are not small but somehow their strokes are really quick, almost off the bounce type. They've been having Asian players coming over for practicing purposes and compete in their Bundesliga. Koji Matsudaira (Kenta's brother) is a great example.

Man Franziska played fantastic, best I've ever seen him play. But when FZD plays that well AND get that lucky there's just no way to beat him. Despite the overall score this was a super high quality match.

Is it just me? I've watched Liang Jingkun against Anton and Darko. Anton and Darko seemed to struggle with Liang's serves. They kept popping the ball sky high.

I've never paid attention to Liang's serve. Only recently I realise many opponents couldn't read Liang's serves

Fantastic match by Linda Bergström and SYS. Bergström was so close in winning the 4th set. I must say she consistently chopped down to the whiteline, making it difficult for SYS to kill.

Tbh, the Match between Lim JH and Ma Long could be Interesting.
Lim with home crowd, as a lefty against ML in current Form could become an upset.

If Lim can control himself, anticipate and predicten MLs moves decently well and stay in the points, he might have a Chance.

Although I would've loved to see Franziska upset FZD, I am kinda happy he lost, same goes for Ovtcharov, Jorgic, Moregard and Qui.

This means they are all back in Europe in time for the ETTU Champions League Final4 this Sunday and Monday, would've been a deflated event otherwise.

Oh Junsung put a good scare into Harimoto who must've been having flashbacks of getting reverse swept again like against LJK.

Oh played an intimidating power game (very Korean style with lot of steparounds), landing a lot of shots that guys like LJH try for but miss often. Credit to Harimoto for staying calm in that 5th game and moving Oh around with different levels of spin.

一，最黄金的成长期迟迟找不到好的教练，到现在还是省队父亲指导
二，性格决定命运，小小年纪打球畏首畏尾。缺少霸气，心态这方面比智和差的远了。智和这个年纪一点心理包袱都没有。她想赢怕输，小小年纪就如此之大心理负担，以后更是拿不下关键分
三，日本的训练理念
就是重速度缺厚度。她速度很快，比陈梦快。但是陈幸同孙颖莎比她还快，还比她厚。
预计未来会跟蒯曼互有胜负十年。胜率大概五五开或者美和略高。这辈子对孙颖莎王曼昱一胜难求。
对王艺迪陈幸同陈梦这辈子能偶尔赢一两次。对国乒其他小将胜率五五开。

美和はいままで無欲でプレイしてきたけど
オリ代表になって初めて代表の重圧の洗礼

To beat the Chinese from time to time, one has to be as good as/better than them at particular skill subsets that one uses liberally but creatively( more than the Chinese) to their advantage. Hari has his dynamic backhand and off the bounce speedy play. LYJ has the backhand flick, timing, tricky long serves and a flexible but direct style. Miwa only has a tricky serve. She's not even as good as Hayata at the looping game, and she's a rightie. Well, maybe there'll be more promise in the future.
