Why are Evolution rubbers still less popular than tenergy?

Controversial opinion (and not really factual, just an impression):
I think while evolution mx p is still perfectly playable, tenergy 05 has become more obsolete.
I do not use any of them, I purely base this on the strange fact that when I play against people who use tenergy, I on average get a ball with quite less spin than all the new and harder hybrids, whilst the mx p still sends my way a heavy ball

The power of boosting... though I do know some strong players that still use Tenergy.

I am still really enjoying MX-P 7 days after my initial post. How long can New equipment syndrome last? What is the longest honeymoon for a new blade or rubber?
It is amazing after about 10 years of looping everything I can actually smash really clean and hard and fast winners again!

After factory booster wipe out it will be much slower

Doesn't seem that controversial to me. I think the quality ceiling for most hybrids is noticeably higher than Tenergy 05.

How do they compare with tenergy in control? I heard these lose their boost quickly and a heavy rubber? I tried the t05 not enough control in short game - to spin sensitive. Currently using t19 - much better.

I find it hard to quantify control, because everyone's idea is different.

I think Tenergy produces better shots with less effort, the 09c requires more input to get quality but scales much better.

Tenergy not having good control is a bit overstated in my opinion. Most rubbers that are capable of producing high amounts of spin and speed require you to brush the ball and play with a closed angle.

Yes control is hard to quantify - but I mean more easy to use rubber (Forgiving and easy manage in most scenarios) for intermediates like me. Tenergy 05 probably isnt the best if you dont have great technique - I find I can easily overshoot the table with my shots, and the rubber is spin sensitive - doesn't just fly off everywhere against spin - short play is harder etc - hence less controllable for me. :)

Also great to talk to another Aussie. :) :)

I think d09c is noticeably more demanding than Tenergy unfortunately. Tenergy by comparison is easier to create quality but yeah, it is error prone with bad technique. So is d09c.

I think something like Rakza 7 is a better intermediate rubber. I personally think the Rozena is basically a toned down Tenergy and is fantastic for intermediate level of play, but a lot of people seem to dislike it.
