  1. Do rubbers really 'break in'?

nah most fierce debates are usually about h3 boosting
  2. Rakza series vs Tenergy?

Divide by countries then. National player from any country == Provincial level player from China. /sacrasm But really I think high level players are going to win even with cheap equipment. As always, it's not about Rakza vs Tenergy, it's about skill. Go buy whatever popular Rakza and spend...
  3. Dilemma with cost-benefit on European vs Chinese rubbers

If you brush the ball well, it's going to bubble pretty soon (especially Blue sponged H3s). My friend has pretty good FH top spin and his commercial H3 bubbled in a couple of weeks. Yes, DHS quality control may suck for commercial versions, but IMO on pretty high level Provincial Orange sponged...
  4. Phone with best camera, also for video?

Best video: hands down Apple i-phone (apparently this word is banned huh?). Best photo: Samsung Galaxy S22/S21 Ultra or Google Pixel. It's proven so many times that Google Pixel has the best colour science (digital processing) in terms of photos. Apple products seconds this. If you're planning...
  5. Backhand flip advice

I've found that it's so much easier to do BH flip with any ball with tacky rubber on the BH. Just get to position correctly and just swing the wrist - the rubber will do the rest. H3 / FastArc G1 (it's very grippy) / H8-80 all work very, very well. I would assume that most modern hybrids will...
  6. H3 not work with some blades?

I personally found that I can loop kill the ball easier with more flexy blades like Long 5, Nittaku Acoustic, PG-7, Yinhe PD-437, etc. With Fang Bo 2 (rather stiff inner carbon blade), Timo Boll Spirit, ZJK ALC I am lacking confidence, since no flex on powerful strokes. May be with more softened...
  7. Nittaku Acoustic with Hurricane 3

Flicking with H3 on the FH is amazing, I can definitely agree. For some reason I am able to control the angle much better, than with ESN rubber on the FH during the flick. Or may be it's just a matter of practicing more with ESN 🤷
  8. Nittaku Acoustic with Hurricane 3

I want to believe that too! But I really can't :) Hence there's no actual gameplay video, it will not show Acoustic on the good side. My goal was to show that with the proper preparation for the shot (footwork, technique) Acoustic can do magic. For me, flexible blades were always way to go. With...
  9. Nittaku Acoustic with Hurricane 3

Nope, I used commercial H3, with which I already played for a couple of months. But it was boosted once with a single layer of Seamoon back then, never re-boosted. Never tried Acoustic Carbon, can't really compare these two...always wanted to try Acoustic Carbon Inner though.
  10. Nittaku Acoustic with Hurricane 3

Hello, everyone! Sharing my (very brief) thoughts about Nittaku Acoustic with unboosted commercial H3. Anybody still plays with Acoustic and tacky Chinese rubber these days ?
  11. Finger slipping

Since everybody's giving an actual advise, I will do so as well: just sweat less.
  12. Another Drama (DHS LONG 5 Provincial or Commercial

I've used long 5 for half a year or so. The control doesn't compare to my Acoustic or even cheap 7 ply PG-7. One has to be very very skilled to play it properly. Also, I've noticed that it doesn't work well with bouncy rubbers at all. H3 37 BH and H3 40 FH - best setup to have both control and...
  13. SDC Handmade Blades

One sexier than the other...awesome looking blades. Keep them coming!
  14. Which cheap outer alc should I try?

Yinhe Pro 01 is great outer ALC blade as well, the handle is perfectly comfortable. A bit more expensive though.
  15. Carbon vs Wood

Now that I've read your post I completely agree. And even though I did remove rubbers incorrectly...still no splintering :D And yes, I put 2-3 layers of DHS #15...
  16. What rolling exercises you do after training session.

If you at any rate consider playing table tennis several times a week you should do muscle stretching and rolling.Three muscle groups that I do regularly: quads (quadriceps), glutes (khm, the ass muscles), calves. Pro players surely have professional massage or something similar after each...
  17. Carbon vs Wood

Do you have a video showing your FH top spins? I want to see and potentially comment. Also, I will say it again in this thread: never had any splintering issues with glue like DHS #15, even with cheap DHS PG-7s and Sanwei Fextras. Therefore never sealed my blades. Just pull off the rubber from...
  18. Carbon vs Wood

If so, then Falco is even worse 😂
  19. Carbon vs Wood

Nah it makes rubber mushy and doesn't add much speed. This is very much noticeable on all-wood 5ply blades. Seamoon on the other hand evaporates faster, but actually adds speed.
