Do you use tap water to clean it? Maybe you can try distilled water on the next one.

You can try Goo Gone. It will soften the glue and you can remove it with a plastic spatula. But there is no easy ways.

For my return board i bough 12 sheets of Kokutaku 868 for 36 USD on Aliexpress. One year later i still use them. For the glue i used Elmer's rubber cement. That's the cheapest i could find.

I prefer 2mm on my BH. I feel i have more control and it's better for block. On FH i play with MAX.

One player i have a lot of trouble returning his serve use butterfly rubber, non tacky. Spinny as hell. The secret is in the technique. And for me, at my age, i find european style rubber a lot easier to play. With smaller stroke you can produce a quality ball that put pressure on your opponent.

I use a 47 degree, 2mm ESN rubber on my BH. It's just a perfect balance in speed and spin. Don't feel too soft. I would use the 09C on the FH side. But if you can try it then see if you like it. Only you know the answer.
