  1. Blade with bouncier side?

Do you ever find that blades have 1 side that is slightly bouncier even though the composition is theoretically the same on both sides?
  2. Sanwei Target 90 and Target 40+ Turbo Pro

Today I tried these 2 rubbers, both unboosted. I feel that both rubbers are asking for booster, but apart from that they were both quite impressive. Target 90 is semi-tacky, but the grip and topsheet quality just feels excellent. The sponge is H39, standard Chinese style dense sponge. The spin...
  3. How to stop 3rd ball loop attack?

Today I lost a close match to a player with a very strong serve and 3rd ball attack. There was pretty much nothing I could do to prevent his attack, other than defend for dear life. His serve is common pendulum serve, but it is quite wicked. It is fast, low, spinny, and always aimed at my bh...
  4. How do you block a flat fast drive from short pips?

Today I played a penhold SP puncher. Whenever he punched a shot into my bh, the ball would just fall off my paddle and land on my side of the table or low into the net. There is just no topspin on the flat punches. How do you block this shot? Whenever I tried adjusting my angle more upwards...
  5. Is the total blade count in the world just constantly going up?

Unlike rubbers that break down and get thrown away, blades last for decades. Since people are constantly buying new blades all the time, is the total global blade count just constantly going up all the time? It seems kinda weird to me that there are just more and more blades lying around...
  6. Club level players using Counter-Loop vs block?

At the club level, circa USATT 2000, should players mostly be using the block or the counter-loop when opponent opens with loop? When my opponent opens a loop to me, I have experimented with both block and counterloop. When I use counter-loop, I feel my hit percentage is just 50%. But on...
  7. Has anybody ever converted cybershape cut rubber to regular shape?

I'm thinking to boost the cybershape rubber to expand it and then try to re-cut in on a regular blade. Anybody tried this? Any other tips?
  8. Do all Yinhe blades have smaller head?

I used to have a Yinhe V14 pro, but it had a fairly small headsize compared to all my other blades from dhs and sanwei. Do all yinhe blades use this small head size? If Yinhe pro 05 is supposed to be a long 5 clone, shouldn't it have the same head size? And pro 03 is a clone of dhs 301
  9. Innerforce zlc vs apolonia zlc?

Is there a difference between these blades? They seem to have identical conposition
  10. Cheapest way to ship a whole paddle in the US?

What is the cheapest way to ship a paddle in the US, and how much would that be?
  11. Is this the weakest China's men's team has ever been?

For most of the past decades, there have been at least 3 dominant players. Wang Liqin, Wang Hao, Ma Lin Ma Long, FZD, Xu Xin But right now, Wang Chuqin is in a bad slump. FZD is the top Chinese player it seems, but he is unstable at times as well. And the 3rd player might be the still young...
  12. What Spin is this serve?

Dario does about 5 serves here. 3 pendulum, and 2 reverse pendulum. Are these sidespin, side-under, or side-top? I always have problems specifically with this type of motion. They say "look at the moment he strikes the ball". But its way too fast and I can't read it.
  13. Improved Multiball Training Video

I started doing multiball training just a few sessions ago, but it seems like it's already making a difference. I'm able to execute it a little better in training. And I played a match against an 1800 player just to test out my training. Normally I would play safe and would beat this opponent...
  14. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

We are just about a month away from Singles Day! What items are you hoping to get? Lets share some ideas and some good deals. This year I actually dont have a clear idea of what to get. I was hopeful for rxton 7 and telson 100, but both disappointed me. So I dont see too much else that...
  15. Perform in multiball but not in game

I recorded some multiball practice with a friend. My friend is just working on looping underspin and the followip attack. He does it fairly well in practice, but often fails in game. Im practicing looping the receive. I do it ok in multiball, but cant execute in game.
  16. My nightmare opponent

This specific style gives me nightmares, even more than LP choppers. At least with choppers, they give you space and time to hit the ball. But see how this guy with the LP stays close to the table and punches the ball with his LP from left to right? There's a 70 year old guy at our local club...
  17. Advice for my terrible receive

Just a few points from warm up game, but its clear as day how bad I am at receiving good serves. I feel like if i could improve this one single area, I would make a huge leap actually. I can't read the spin, I choose the wrong receive, I whiff the ball, Im just not confident in this area...
  18. How to read sidetop vs sideunderspin serve!?

https://www.facebook.com/reel/773887714827736 This problem has given me trouble for a long time. I just can't understand how to differentiate the side-top vs side-under serves. I stumbled on this video, and no matter what I do it looks like side-under to me. But from the return, it must be...
