  1. Is there a standard head size?

I understand that the Viscaria is actually smaller than Chinese head sizes. I believe Viscaria is 157x150mm. My blades from Stuor, DHS, Sanwei all seem to share a common size, and seem to be larger than Viscaria. I guess they might be 160x150. I'm pretty exclusively using Chinese-made blades...
  2. Difference in Loki Pro Rubbers

I personally found Rxton 5 Pro to be worse than regular Rxton 5. The Rxton 5 Pro had a softer sponge and was really quite slow. I find the regular Rxton 5 gives more stability and spin and power after both are boosted.

Try them unboosted first then boost them to see how big of a reaction there is

Let me know how Battle 3 is vs Volant Phoenix
  5. Upcoming Harimoto Super ALC

Seems pretty cool, but I feel the regular Harimoto ALC is already pretty hard. Won't adding SALC make it even harder? I think it may end up being worse
  6. Difference in Loki Pro Rubbers

I think I understand what he means though. Loki topsheets are tacky, but kinda slippery at the same time. Rxton 3 Pro, Rxton 5 Pro have the same kinda smooth and slippery topsheet, while being tacky. Sanwei and Double Fish and Friendship topsheets are grippier.

Have you read my guide for FH and BH rubbers? https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/best-chinese-alternatives-to-d09c-tier-list.31883/ https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/best-chinese-alternatives-to-d05-tier-list.33672/ For BH, I would recommend boosted Aurora Max.

Can you test it against the Fang Bo B2. I'm curious how similar they are in stiffness and feeling. In my experience, I felt B2 has a very nice balance of flex with snappiness/responsiveness. Stuor Long 5 felt overly flexy and less responsive.

Let me know how you like the Stuor Long 5. I had it before, but I felt it was too soft and kinda flimsy feeling. I absolutely love the CC and Fang Bo B2 though.
  10. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

Maybe I'll take a video sometime, but he has a really difficult reverse pendulum serve. I keep going to push it and it flies right off the table. He also said the Taiwan #3 player was also on the same team as him and LYJ. I think he was referring to Kao Cheng-Jui And he said LYJ hired coach Ji...
  11. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

I didn't get his name, but back then he would've been using his Chinese name in Taiwan. He said he played for United Bank or something. Also he said that when he was 14, he was better than LYJ. But obviously LYJ got a lot better.
  12. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

So a interesting new player showed up and played with me. He said he was on the same corporate team with Lin Yun Ju when he was 14 and Lin was 10. They played for a bank in Taipei. He said at that time Lin hired his own coach from China named Ji Ge. Apparently he hasnt played for 8 years so...

Ignoring speed, how would you rate the feeling and function of Volant Phoenix compared to Rxton 9?
  14. Best way to return short serves?

Oh yeah, there is flick. I feel like I have been relying more on the push because it seems more high percentage. The flick seems risky. But maybe I should make this my main focus of training going forward.
  15. Best way to return short serves?

yes, that's what I wanted to ask. Is it worth learning to try to push short? It seems exceedingly difficult at the amateur level. I'm thinking a push or flick is more high percentage?
  16. Best way to return short serves?

I think right now I am basically doing the nontopspin flick. I don't even know what to call it, it's more like a non-spin horizontal push.
  17. Best way to return short serves?

So, I think everybody agrees that the best way to return a long serve is with a loop. If somebody serves short underspin, i'm reasonably good at pushing short close to the net. But what's the best way to return short serves that are not underspin? (no spin, sidespin, side-under). Generally...
  18. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

You feel C55 is faster than DG? For me, I have found DG to be the fastest and most powerful ESN hybrid I have tried. DG is faster than Bluegrip C2, and maybe slightly faster than Dynaryz ZGR, similar speed with Omega China.
  19. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

Is it faster than H3? A number of people have said that Rxton 9 is much faster than H3. But you are saying it is the closest. Do you mean it is closest in feeling and function? or closest in speed/rebound?
