That's not true at all, attacking players target expedite when they want to keep the points short or know that the chopper is not going to take risk to end the point or their ability to push through the rally is secure when they receive. The chopper will only want expedite if they think they...

The "new one" is interesting. I never used the old one so I cant compare. The new one feels like a slower wooden blade. The blocking is consistent in a different way from what I used before so I get a lot of blocks and counters on the table (whether they threaten is another story). The...

Nah, those guys have powerful forehands for sure, but neither of them look as technically beautiful when playing Jian Li. Jishan does have the lefty advantage and definitely comes closer but Kai is not in the discussion to be honest.

There are no obviously right or wrong answers for equipment choices but given our suboptimal use of the body on most strokes as adult learners, unless you are gaining a heavy premium in consistency/control and to a lesser degree spin using H3, it is better to use a hybrid and even better to just...

The backhand footwork doesn't look quite right, maybe it is because of table proximity but you should be preparing the backswing with a bit more hip action by bowing a little even vs topspin.

Enjoy Kaden Xu...

Seems they think Tanaka has surpassed Uda but not Togami...

Nice to see Tanaka's hard work being rewarded. But has he surpassed Uda, @zeio?

My supplier is giving me a $100 price point. I will give it a shot, will try it on a Viscaria SALC to start. Getting it in 2.7mm sponge.

Ah, musclepong... I think he is learning a lot and he has great coaches, but it will take him time to get to a point where he truly appreciates the complexity of what he is doing. The mental part of table tennis is very important, at the basic level, you have to be able to read the play and...

1. You decide based on your training. Your training should have shown you what is possible with the serve and pivot combinations and then you use this to make your decision. That said, the kinds of returns you expect to get will influence that decision to pivot and the kinds of returns you...

The thing about league/team events is that even your individual decisions are about the team. If you are playing single matches outside a team structure like tournament or round robin, think for yourself whatever you are comfortable with. But if you are playing team competition, whatever the...

Bad day, nothing to see/say here?

There was a time a couple of years ago when Ma Long and Wang Chuqin made the final of the event and after Wang won, they had to travel to the next event on tour and both lost in the first match they played. Some people just blamed it on tiredness but a coach and friend argued it had a lot to do...

Haha..... my one day max is 20, this was in 2011 when i entered 5 events oe so and won 4 and was a finalist in the last, my one day max as a serious (1600+) player is 18 and it wqs in the last year or two. At that event though, and the other one on Thanksgiving weekend, getting close to 30...

Innova didn't last though. Zyre would need the durability of an oak tree to justify this, or at least the performance of boosted hurricane and durability of Dignics 05.

Stocks for Tenergy 19 and 05 just went up.

Why do we have this insanity during matches in the US where players have to call lets during points or accept the point being played out? Let's almost always disturb you the more advanced you get as a player as you are sensitive to tracking all the balls in your sensory/perceptory range. And...

That completely sucks.

So our last match of the day and my last match of the event is against a team with three players. I am up against their worst player in first match and I struggle with some of his cheap trick illegal serves. The placements are annoying (extremely short forehand with float, punch backspin where...
