I think your concerns disappear completely after..... 6 to 10 sessions with a good coach. Tenergy05 is one of the easiest rubbers to play "lazy" shots with - The rubber does so much of the work. So if you find that too taxing, I'm not sure where you can go really. Without seeing you play (and...

I know this is a boring answer..... Coaching. Do you have access to it? I know some adults who have had coaching recently, and they've improved a lot (from already being an OK standard). I find people often try and look for the "perfect" set up - Not too fast, not too slow etc etc. And in...

Having these sentences 3 lines apart is very impressive! Congrats! ;) If we ignore the fact you dug up this thread which is nearly a year old, is there an actual point you had on the Ovtcharov ALC (which this thread is about)? Aside from that, excellent contribution to the thread, and my...

Ah OK - Yes, you are right. Only content against the rules will be moderated. Let's be honest, no one wants to ban anyone or moderate content. But if someone is getting their content banned a lot, they will likely be removed from the forum.

Haha, that would make for some interesting Table Tennis! It's quote a common type of question idea in lots of sports - Somehow "levelling" the playing field to make it "fair" You see it in F3 (like Formula One, but they all have the same car/engine). Or even the Ping Pong championships, where...

Hello TTD’ers! You may have seen recently that the moderation team has exploded with new blood….. Myself and @NextLevel have joined Carl, Dan and GiangT as guardians of this very small and wonderful corner of the internet. I thought it would be a good time to go over some of the very old...

You are allowed to disagree - But it doesn't change anything I'm afraid. If a post or thread is against the rules in any way, shape or form, it can be deleted (by a Moderator). If someone posts a "spam/troll" thread about something, and a number of people report it (because the Moderators will...

From what I’ve seen (bearing in mind I’ve not been a mod for that long), there really is a low number of reports. And when we get a report, it’s often an isolated incident (just one person reporting). If LOADS of people reported it, there’s a strong argument for the content to be removed. In...

I think Dan is about 66, and Tom isn’t on the list (but would maybe be 30-40 ish?) Someone who knows the scene better than me could comment. But, from those guys to our very best, is a huge gap. And then from our very best (Jarvis, Pitchford, Drinkhall), there is STILL, a huge gap to the top...

Can people use the “report” functionality if they have issues, and not address the poster directly? There are 2 problems here. 1. Interacting with the post/thread that you feel is spam/trolling, simply feeds the troll. The more people who report it, the more likely something permanent will...

Agree to both these points - But probably something a lot of forum people don't realise. Pocket Rocket, Tom, Dan etc, might look like superstars to *most* people (and they are heroes of our sport!) But you then have a huge step up to the likes of Jarvis, and then an even bigger step up to the...

It’s an excellent point! Let me speak to Dan, because we were looking at options, but nothing confirmed yet!

Hello all! I'll be sending out emails with the Hotel booking information soon (next week probably). These will be bookings you can do yourself (emailing the hotel directly with a code), and the prices will be: Single room rate: €74.00 + €3 (tax) Double room rate: €88.00 + €3 (tax) I'll...

I feel like both of these answers can be correct, and relevant to the OP depending on their ability to feel the differences. Firstly, after 25 years of experience, I firmly believe that *most* people will not experience *meaningful* differences between the array of Butterfly ALC blades (the...

Not tried T19, but I generally find the T series to be quite reactive in general. D05 is more subdued when it comes to incoming spin, and you don't have the same big T05 arc when playing attacking shots..... Yet it's still absolutely LOADED with spin. However.... I'm not sure your touch...

If T05 is too fast/uncontrollable and D09C is too passive..... I'm not sure there's much that can be done! I agree that T05 is a beast - It feels great when attacking, but it's a monster to control if you aren't "on it". My recommendation would have been D09C, but be less passive - I don't...

The schedule for the 26/27 season doesn't come out until the summer. IF there is a Borussia Düsseldorf match on the Friday... We'll try and organise something with the players if possible.

I heard he was only going to sign because the TTD forum were coming over.....

I feel I should reply to some of the things you've said here - Yes it's semi off topic. Shoot me. You can write whatever you want about ways you feel this forum can be improved. But please remember, it's a forum for fans/players/equipment junkies and everything in between - It's not a "blog" or...

Weekly reminder.... There are still a few spaces. We'll leave it open for Forum people initially - Closer to the time, we'll open it to friends/family of people already coming. I've finalised the Hotel booking, and just waiting on how they want to do it (I'm hoping it's a link or something so...
