My weapon of choice: an old Senkoh-5
IMHO, it's a perfect mix of balsa core and hinoki outer veneers.
It's light and medium soft, but still very stiff.

I finally got to the summer home.

Left to right: Butterfly Mazinov with Anatomic Handle; Butterfly Mazinov with Flare Handle; Stiga Super Carbon with Flare Handle.

Those two Mazinoves are from 1991. The original Sriver rubber that came with them is still on them. Lol. About six years ago a friend and I did some magic on the one with the anatomic handle and the rubber actually works decently. The other one, the rubber is like ice. The best antispin you could find would be more grippy.

An old classic Hinoki blade. Butterfly Klampar-H. This is the first blade I got back in 1991. Back then I only played for a short time but loved to play.

I have 2 Butterfly Mazinov blades from back then too. But I gave them to my parents. :)

Interesting that this Klampar-H--which I got about a month before the Mazinovs in 1991--has a black tag and the Mazinovs do not.

That's interesting. The Bty Appelgren is from '84 and that Bty Secretin is from '91 and both didn't come with that black tag but instead with that round little sticker. Seems like only certain blades had that tag, but i've got no clue why...

It's likely manufacturer/process dependent. When you outsource, the processes by which the blades get created may have different signatures.

Hi C4
Do you think that the H8 performs a lot better with tuning or does it still have that extremely low throw?

I do not think that H8 has extremely low throw. Of cause it is not as big as european tensors have.. it's chinese one and it has all qualities of chines rubbers :)
however it's not supper sticky and heavy like h3neo and you don't need to ajust your game to much to get used to it, even it is not boosted.
Some people say that it's better to boost H8 and only after that it plays like it should.. personally I do not think so.
