Hi TurboZ
Thank you very much for all the info/updates about the Trials - I really love those tournaments
Do you have any additional info about Phase 1 - like who participated or more detailed results?
I think it is because no top players participated in the First Stage while they were all busy playing in Hungarian Open at that time so there is not much news report about it. Hope someone who knows can share it here.
All I can find is that there were 16 players competing from Jan 17-21. They play best of 5 instead of 3. The final top 6 then enter Stage Two. They are Yu Ziyang, Zhou Qihao, Xu Chenhao, Liu Dingshuo, Zhou Kai and Wang Chuqin.
Great find! Only the pic is too blurry for me to tell even one name.
Actually, after digging a little I found these results from Phase 1:

Could you possibly check that my "translations" of the names are correct?
where is malong !! he won't play in wttc 2017 ??
where are ma long and zhang ji ke?
they are going to the finals directly
Best of Xu Xin (Part 1)
The thing that amazed me about the XX FZD game was the total lack of emotion from either of them. Neither the players nor the people watching batted an eyelid at some incredible shots. I'm assuming this isn't open to the public, but even top players and coaches must have thought "wow, that was pretty good"!? Clearly not!
