For international tournaments, we need to wait to see if XX and FZD will play Asian Cup (they two are invited while the deadline for player change is 8/10) and if ML, XX, FZD, etc. will play Austrian Open (deadline 8/20).
ML, XX, FZD are not affected to play at the National Games. ML attended some social events such as a movie premiere (whose producer is a CNT sponsor), a cameo appearance in a ping-pong themed movie and accepted interview with Beijing TV about the National Games preparation (no question asked about the boycott though). So the boycott seems not devastating.
BTW, Coach Wu Jingping deleted the photos I posted above. The fangirls of the players who did not support the boycott publicly (most are ZJK fansgirls) were complaining on his Weibo post why GAS has not announced punishment of ML, XX, FZD yet; why their provincial teams can train at the National Training Center (ZJK and Team Shandong were not seen training there; as a matter of fact, provincial teams and even foreign teams can train at the National Training Center upon application) and why Wu Jingping, a retired coach can attend the training (as a matter of fact, he IS HIRED as the coach of XX and Wang Chuqin). Those fangirls have written complaint letters to GAS-TT/Badminton center. Let's see what GAS will respond.

The second video is in fact during 2016 China Open and cannot be 8/7/2017. Fang Bo is not in Beijing while the other four guys are in Beijing and on the banner it says 2016.

The 13th China National Games did inlude tournament for amateur players. The table tennis tournament for amateurs is Sep 1-4. It is a totally different tournament from what we discussed in this thread.
BTW the video you posted previously is not the amateur tournament of the National Games.

Some cross-province doubles pairs started training together. They paired up at their own wills, including top seeds ML/XX for MD, DN/LSW for WD and FZD/ZYL for XD.
