it will only count in big matches eg for the title or at least semi
Huh???

it is a good win, but I don't think it proves he can win the big one. Let me ask you this, in real playing terms didn't you favour LGY over DO?
Huh????
Aha, so it doesn't count against a non-Chinese top contender in front of his home crowd? No pressure there I guess?
not to be disrespectful, but I didn't see any 4-0 predictions for HT, now everybody knew
it's all goodSeriously. Dima is a Tier 1 opponent of China and has beaten LGY before. China Open is one of the biggest tour events for many reasons. Not once but twice, LGY came back from huge deficits and in total saved 9 match points. And it supposedly doesn't count?
I think I need to remember that this is the internet. Everyone has an opinion.
I look at it this way. A big choker came out on top of a bigger choker.
According to Rid, he had 9 match pointsI don't think this is fair or right - what has Dima choked away? Losing to players is not the same thing as choking, otherwise all players are chokers.

I have not seem the stats, so I could only quote you. It's according to official stats.

Really don't know what to make of Pitchford as a player, In WTTC he barely won against Afanador while here he had a comfortable win against ZQH. He's just so up and down that you can never expect what kind of a performance he's gonna bring during tournaments.

Calling it now, Pitch gonna destroy Tomo.
Actually it was more than 5..LGY - Dima 4-3
Dima losing 15-17 in the 7th after having had 5 match points.
That's rough, buddy.
Good on LGY for showing that he can win against his nerves.
