30+ TT players, could you beat a 10 years younger version of yourself?

Let's say you have to play against a 10 years younger version of yourself, with the knowledge and abilities you had at that time, you might have had more power and stamina, but maybe your current version is more knowledgeable and experienced? Or on the contrary you were way better 10 years ago, faster, stronger and no even your current knowledge and equipment will be able to close the gap and you will get smoked by your younger version?
So, could you? Are you better now?, worse due to age/injuries? So who will win in a match between you and 10 years younger you?

(cue younger posters joking they were 8 10 years ago)

I think balancing things out, the ball is more annoying but since I started 14 years ago, I am a better player now even though my athleticism and fitness are worse, my understanding and skill are better. This would not be true for someone who started younger more often than not. I'm almost 50, so starting seriously in my mid 30s lead to that kind of curve.

With the amount of table time young me used to get I think older would probably lose as younger me would definitely be sharper all the time and could train flat out for hours.

Serve and receive, touch etc is still OK mind.

Interesting concept.

It also depends on where 10 years ago standard wise the player was.

A later starter 10 years ago is an age and gulf in standard.

I stopped playing between 2010 and 2023. Balls were different in 2010, so I don't know who beats who with which ball. But I've been training for 12 months more than I did for 10 years before 2010, and my FH is way way better than it has never been, so I guess I would beat my younger me with the current conditions (balls and serves rules).
