Have any of the mods especially Nextlevel reached out to Tony recently and apologized for how the situation was handled before he decided to leave TTD permanently?

No, I have not, and after reading the posts here, I am far less likely to do so than I would have been before this thread. I emailed and reach out to Tony back then and got no responses. And no one has given me any indication that he has any interest in listening to anything I have to say even though I have communicated to people who have reached out to me directly especially on PMs that I have no problem doing just about anything. I am fairly surprised that with all the fans he has on TTD that want him back, there is no idea from anyone of whether he could come back and under what conditions. And if his fans cannot figure out what it would take and at least backchannel to me what my role in that could be, then I doubt I am the man to do it.

You really should reach out to him and talk to him and broker something if you want him back that badly. That you keep on talking as if you want him back but sound absolutely like you have no information on what he is doing or how he thinks to me would be a problem, but we are different people.

Sardines are a thing. But they make your loop smelly. Maybe that is where the whiff in whiff whaff is derived from - the fishy game.

I like tinned sardines. Often eat them with salad on toast for breakfast when I'm camping. I sleep in my car once or twice a week. It's part of the joys of MTBing.
When they are in season I also enjoy them fresh. They are very cheap indeed. And to reiterate. Just salt, grill and squeeze over some lemon.

I read the posts, struggled to find their relevance to the original topic (I could have been wrong about that for sure), and read other posts that pointed out it was likely to just be an attempt to continue to increase webboard discord and took action. My judgment may be wrong but I don't hesitate in using it in times like this, I can always explain later or apologize to people if my actions were in error. I closed the topic to avoid further abuse (though again, if my judgment is wrong), I can revise. Usually threads get closed when they are being abused.

Initially, I had politics and off topic as an experiment. The webboard largely rejected the idea. So the forum rules that were drafted (and which went into extended delays without being published) actually banned politics and a lot of other things that still occur on the webboard. If they (or any other updates) ever get published, that will be great but until then, I just have to exercise my judgment.

I just started to catch up with the drama and I am baffled. The moderation on the forum is pretty good, especially if you know how it goes on most forums. I think people should accept that mods have authority and have to make decisions. If you don't agree or understand, ask! In dm. A single thread to discuss modding decisions is also good (which what this is I guess).
I still don't think any mod decision that has been made was significant enough to warrant personal grudges.

But yes. I have always turned most of my hobbies into jobs so it helps me to justify them. Music, cooking, language study and TT all paid me back.
MTB I’m not good enough at. It’s a pure hobby. I also play tennis to a good level but TT better fundamentals.
Current hobby is sports psych research. Just finished the masters so will do the PhD and then see if I go practice based or research based.
Table tennis is possibly one of the most sensitive sports to fluctuations in both cognitive and hormonal output so it’s a great sport to both watch and coach and consider what’s going on beyond the loops and chops. MMA is another one. No way I’m getting kicked in the face for fun though.

Jack Nextlevel is just stringing you along. He obviously is not interested in building bridges. He apologised to a new member on a trivial matter, Hoping, the absence of apology for Tony might be overlooked.
The fact is that Tony is still a member here. The problem is that he won't comeback until Nextlevel expresses some regret and gives some hope that, in the future his posts won't be messed with without prior warning. For a prolific poster like Tony, it's very frustrating for him to have items which he has spent substantial time on to create for our members.

Nextlevel is a prolific poster and a dedicated dealer with the spam problem and other simple tasks that moderators do:
