Check out this awesome table tennis robot build by Omron Corp! This robot has been designed not to built its opponent however to sustain long rallies. The robot comes packed with sensing and powerful control technologies.
The robot's aim is to keep the ball on the table with its opponent in the best possible way. It's designed according to japantimes.co.jp to sense the position and racket location and return the best spot for an easy return to its opponent which precise force and optimum timing.
The robot is capable of doing over 100 strokes. The robot attracked a lot of attention a the open day in CEATEC (Japan's largest consumer electronics and IT trade show).
P.s. Omron have designed this robot for proof that humans and robots can work together using sensing and control technologies, so we are afraid this will not be commercially available to table tennis players according to the company, so don't be fooled by the titel
