Miu hirano seems to have hit a rock against the chinese.

I think the fzd X mizutani match was great.

Mizutani was very offensive until third set, playing at the same level as fzd. Actually that surprises me.

But in the fourth and fifth he seemed to much passive, maybe it was a fzd tactic or some mental weakenes but he had a drop in performance.

I would be pleasure to see a deep analysis of that match.

In the first two games FZD made more unforced errors than usual. His banana flicks tend to be slower and higher than usual. That gave Mizutani more chances to attack.

Not sure why. FZD took a bit longer to warm up in this game.

Miu hirano seems to have hit a rock against the chinese.

Possibly the same rock that ALL non-Chinese players hits (almost) ALL of the time?

Maybe many people/fans just had too high hopes for her after her amazing performance at the Asian Championships?

She's still very young - and a strong player, so she will probably beat some more Chinese players at some point. But I still wouldn't pick her as favourite (50/50 at most) in a match against any of the 10-15 best Chinese players.

Kasum vs LSW was a high intensity game. Can make out from LSW's body language that she was under pressure. Kasumi did quite well for a change !!

I have never seen FZD doing so many unforced errors.

FZD knocked out by LGY. Looked completely out of sorts. I think still recovering from the chinese nat games. Or has FZD lost his steam ??

Lin gaoyuan won 4-2
He played very well but fzd made a lot of unforced errors.
I've never see him missing so many bananas flicks like today
