Battle 3 Tiger 4 (Discovery)... Not really sure about the name of it.
Package looks like this:
First I tried it on my Ice Cream AZX Pro blade and it felt a bit dull if I need to be honest. I didn't feel the internal energy etc etc it has written over it, felt like a H3 orange out of the pack without any boosting. Maybe a bit faster and spinnier. That being said I made some crazy good shots with it and my opponents were extremely confused and so was I because I didn't have much feeling, I just let it rip very hard and the ball landed on the table. I saw that these balls were super spinny and maybe had an uncomfy pace and trajectory.
Then recently I got myself very niche blade from TW which is made only from Taiwan grown wood and ALC and it has a very hard top veneer. I'm kind of sure it's similar to a hard rosewood top ply. Anyway on this blade this rubber really came alive. It became quite fast and just as spinny as before but it started to do the click sound, like speed glued rubbers. Granted not that profoundly but still I could hear it.
It's a very good rubber if someone can buy it I really recommend it on a fast hard top ply blade. On a koto blade maybe not that much, on a limba probably I would not even try.
Anyway my first impression with AZX was so-so, with the TW blade it's extremely impressive.
Weight is a bit high, 50-52g depends on your cut. It's nothing horrible but not on the light side either.
On the right blade I would say it's probably better than the Cuifeng, because Battle 3 topsheet is just above every other sticky topsheet at the moment.
Next is Battle 3 purple sponge.
Well this is a brand new thing since it was just released in China and it's a small pored cake sponge with the B3 topsheet. I was very much looking forward to it since it's advertised as internal energy blabla so no boosting needed. I like that very much thank you, finally 729 is reading the needs of the market.
The topsheet is the same for all Battle 3 and I cannot stress enough that the B3 topsheet is the best sticky topsheet I have ever seen. H3, D09c topsheet is not as good or K3 or whatever in my view.
This rubber uncut is 65g with the foil on it, so around 62-3g which is quite light. Cut to the TW blade it's 48g which is very good for a 40degree Chinese tacky rubber.
It's quite bouncy like maybe 10% less bouncy than a normal Glayzer (that I air boosted 3 days ago) so it's fast. The spin and other characteristics will be about as B3 in general. This version has 38deg in red so that might just be a BH rubber contender and I will get back with the FH findings of the 40d I have.
I hope this will be even better for FH than the Tiger 4 but if not I'm not crying much because the Tiger 4 version is really fantastic with my blade. And if this is suitable for BH then so be it. But I doubt this won't be good on FH.
