Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

I buyed my G09C second hand in very good condition. I put it on fast blade and don't like it much. After that I put 1 layer of Falco Platinum, the hardness drop to 48 degrees and the dynamics impruved, unfortunately the mushy feeling remain on hard hits and was too jumpy on low. Only the middle gear is good for my taste. Overall I like it more than LAC and suggest @tay to tried it. Just for comparison and TT science.
If you use haifu instead of Falco, what would change?

I have Haifu White 2, tried it on H3 and several other rubbers. The boosting effect is stronger than FP, but after 2 weeks is gone completely. So, if the goal is one week top performance, boosting with haifu will make sense. FP is weak but doesn't evaporate at all. Whatever effect it has will be permanent. It is perfect for old ESN rubbers that shrink and/or has negative dome.

BTW Waiting for this Zyre 03 killer :

Need to start a new thread:

Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need gluing

What was the best rubber for 1ply hinoki in your opinion? You played with chinese rubbers only? And did you play jpen?
Okay so just for context, I loveee 1-ply Hinoki with it's buttery-soft feeling. But I just feel I don't have the skill for them especially as I'm a looper. Also @Wakkibatty and @greenbeanmachine are wayyy more knowledgable than me for answering this question. But I'll share what I've found for sure and maybe it will be of some help ^_^

The blades I have tried:
- Pro Pro Moby 9mm, cpen
- Darker Speed 90 9mm, jpen
- Butterfly Senkoh 1 9mm, jpen
- Nittaku Miyabi 9mm, jpen
- No-name cheap one 8mm, cpen

The differences between them are like, a lot... But to keep things straightforward, the Moby/Speed90/Senkoh-1 were more alike, the Miyabi and Noname 8mm felt way different. Softer and I could always feel more vibrations on those than the former 3. The Noname 8mm was heaps slower than the rest, and the Miyabi was a bit slower than the former 3.

The rubbers I liked the most were those with soft sponges, with little catapult. Palio AK47 was nice but I didn't like that it had no tackiness. I went to Nexxus EL Pro 43 and it was so so good, but I bottom'd out way too much. PowerplayX 38deg and 39deg (boosted), Mercury II Soft (boosted, bottom'd out too much though like the Nexxus), H3 Neo 39deg (boosted) -- all were so nice and paired extremely well with hinoki's soft feel with no flex.

All the "tensors" I tried (T05FX, T80, D05, K3, G05, Fastarc G1, MXP) worked super well, they were just way too fast for me. I imagine someone would be able to practice and get used to it. Like arguably the best 1-ply hinoki playerl; Ryu Seung-min -- in a recent video he still recommends Tenergy for 1-ply hinoki.

Classic/Control rubbers like Sriver and Andro Good felt nice too, but not as good as the softer ones I mentioned above.

Hinoki gives plenty of power, so using the classic, soft, or chinese tacky rubbers helps tame that power while giving more of that yummy butter-soft feeling of 1-ply Hinoki. That's the main reason I enjoyed the softer sponge rubbers, but also because my playstyle is around looping. Hinoki excels if your playstyle is centered around hitting and drives. Especially with a tensor! Hits are SO powerful.

The biggest thing for any of the rubbers was to keep it 2.1mm or less, especially if I was boosting it. For some reason it doesn't let the blade effect of a Hinoki through -- and that's the biggest thing compared to multi-ply blades where they can flex. @Wakkibatty explained this here.

TUTTLE 25 is on my table. Real 2.5mm sponge 😄. It comes in a vacuum sealed package, 63.3g without foil, 166x167mm square, factory boosted with a small dome. The sponge is 52 degrees shore O, with some life in it, but not as tensors. The surface has hint of tackiness and sliding the ball generates good brushing friction. Let's say step below B3. The topseet is very thin and feels soft. Pips are with rare horizontal orientation. Here is picture next to B3:

Looking for some opinions/alternatives for a teammate of mine.

Last season he used Rxton 7 39deg and wants a rubber that is more controlled and a tad slower. He switched to Rxton 3 Pro, which he finds too slow and needs too much effort to hit, likely because its 40deg.

Anyone with an alternative to the Rxton 7 39deg, similar characteristics but a little slower and more controlled? I was thinking Bloom Power or probably Sanwei Gear Hyper?

3 Pro goes very slow, then breaks in after quite a few hours, and fizz out within weeks. He might still be in the breaking in stage?

Maybe we are talking again (as is custom for Loki) about 2 different versions of Rxton 3 pro.
I got 3 of them running now for over half a year and they are not slow and they do not break in and most definitely do not fizz out after a few weeks. They also all maintained there great stickiness.

He's been using it for about 4 weeks now, around 3 to 4 of hours per week. I would personally say thats past the break in stage, but is that also what you've experienced?

I reckon it's the "regular" as the AliExpress listing I bought it from does not state anything about it being a special/national/professional version

May be teammate should try H3N OS 38deg. Bloom power and Gear Hyper are not slow. PF4 OS is controlled and cheap rubber but topsheet is not quality.

I tested rxton 3 pro in same time with Artur China. And it was more speedy then ACH, sponge was 56 shore O (ACH 54-55) and topsheet was not so tacky as ACH. Topsheet was sux, ACH was more spinny

I was able to spend some play time with TUTTLE 25 on Goriki Danshi FH. The speed is above slightly boosted H3 BS, comparable or a bit higher than XVC. Throw angle is high, let say again similar to XVC. Dwell time is very low, and cost me a lot of effort to adjust. Level of stickiness is low, same as the black H3. The spin is good, but due to low dwell, requires soft hands for service and overall active approach. Choping is possible, and short game is acceptable. There is hint of tensor effect, overall feel linear. FH flick is pure devastation. On BH is just too high throw for me. The main negative is the fragile sponge and topsheet. Removing the glue is ok, but stretching the rubber can break it. Clean cut edge is a must and some protective band. 49g without the glue, cut to 161x156mm.

Well, the one I am talking about has a clear PRO on the front of the cover.

Well what to say? I guess the list is like best sticky FH rubbers that don't need boosting that are made in China. I think many people like me don't fancy boosting that much, so we look for the holy grail of rubbers that is like a boosted H3N BS for cheap.

My list is below but probably incomplete, and as a reminder no boost, not even factory boost.

-1, Pinyi Cuifeng 39-40deg. I think this has the most potential as a non boosted H3 BS alternative. It's about as fast as Rozena or Glayzer, quite sticky, has bounce, feels good to use, it's cheap as hell at 14USD in China, durable and you can feel the ball's weight very well on your racket, maybe next to none on this regard. Negative is that it's a bit on the heavy side and pretty much unavailable besides taobao or certain sellers.

-2, Quanshibao F1, I can say about the same as the Cuifeng but it's a bit slower, a bit less catapulty and a bit less durable, a bit more expensive at 18USD and it's a bit lighter. I think it's a huge win rubber.

-3, Loki Arthur China, I'm pretty sure it's a different manufacturer and different concept but good sticky grip, good speed, has some bounce, not too heavy, used to be cheap but it's actually getting expensive, consistency of the sponge is so-so and it possibly can bubble up fast so durability is questionable at best and shit at worst. However it performs very well until it lasts.

-4, Double Fish Qiji red sponge (spin). It's a bit similar to the Loki but durability is better, the topsheet has some magic, it stays sticky forever, sponge is bouncy enough, bit heavy but it's like a D09c lite.

-5, Hurricane 8-80, also a bit like a D09c lite, but weight is all over the place, from 49g cut to 55g, H8 topsheet is very sticky, it has some bounce but also very hit and miss, durability is good. I think it's a fairly safe rubber to get.

-6, Quanshibao P1, weird since the manufacturer rates this above F1 in all metrics, but I disagree. I think too hard and heavy, F1 is much better.

-7, Sanwei New Target National, light, cheap, available, durable, good stick, decent speed, linear catapult, but kinda flat arc, I feel like the sponge doesn't support much at all so it bottoms out fast on hard blades. On slow soft blades it's not fast enough.

-8, Palio The Way, initially I said this is like a 50 degree ESN killer and I think so and maybe even a first rubber to enter the sticky Chinese rubber world. For that reason I would recommend it the most. Perfromance is quite good and easy to use, OK weight, however for me the sponge didn't last long, after 2 hours it felt amazing after 10 hours it felt broken. I know most people won't break the sponge like I do but I'm telling you that if you hit hard maybe it will become unpredictable faster than others.

-9, H3N, yeah if you don't boost H3N is about here.

I didn't try everything Chinese but this is a pretty comprehensive list for some people to get started or acquainted to Chinese rubbers.

Some mentioned from others which I didn't try but could be good:
-Quanshibao S08
-Chonglan Lanfeng
Need to update my initial post, but it's hard since I use a different blade, which means a different weight, balance, blade face shape, every wood ply is different, only the outer ALC is "the same".
My first assessment was with a Xiom Ice Cream AZX Pro blade, but I would like to revisit what a blade change can do on the ranking.

I would say the Xiom Ice Cream AZX Pro is like a Viscaria in a W968 form. It has Viscaria properties but the balance and some comfort of W968 so I think it's a very worthy mass-manufactured blade. Much faster and the speed and quality comes up much better than on Viscaria, and it's faster than W968 by a lot but the quality doesn't manifest so nautrally.

I tried many of the rubbers on my Taiwania blade which is a miracle but also I tried some on Stiga Inspira plus and Mizutani ZLC, Lin Gauyuan's Guanjian ALC, FZD SALC. Mostly these were my test subjects.

-1, Pinyi Cuifeng, it has the most potential on normal production blades. It has the speed the hardness the topsheet grip and stick and snap, I think it is probably the most safe rubber. If you use it on a very hard blade it will be difficult to use but the potential is there. Weight is better than german rubbers and durability is excellent.

-2, Quanshibao F1, very easy to use, very much like I said a half way DE-boosted H3BS. But I still think that is quite a good rubber to have. Weight is very good, stick is low but the topsheet is very user friendly. This is a comfort rubber and if you have difficult blade I would use this rubber on it.

-3, Sanwei National Target, by this I mean the new Sanwei national target with blue sponge. Not the black or purple or G40 or player etc. The normal one. Usually this rubber feel like it has a low arc, the speed is OK but not great, the spin is pretty good, it feels like it needs something extra. Maybe that extra is boosting or a faster or a blade with more curve and I feel that too. I didn't wanna boost so I first put it on the Mizutani ZLC and it felt pretty darn good, the speed was acceptable, arc was acceptable still it felt a bit lacking.
I glued it on the Taiwania and god damn, this rubber is amazing. Speed is more than plenty, arc is so good I need to hit flatter to not over arc the table which incidentally improves the speed even more. Amazing rubber with that blade. On other blades for me the best one so far was Mizutani ZLC and in the past Cybershape Carbon. But with Taiwania it's so much better that it's a totally different league. Weight is amazing at 48-49g and durability and stick is better than H3...

-4, Loki Rxton 7, it's just great. I would say it's like a sticky and a bit harder T05. It has a very decent catapult, the topsheet quality is quite good, the sponge is also quite good. I really don't see any problem with this rubber, I think it's a very friendly and easy to use rubber that everyone should try. The 40 degree version is totally usable for BH.
I talk about a harder and stick T05, maybe I should say it's a poor man's Tibhar K3. It works on most blades, it's not picky.

-5, 729 Battle 3 Tiger 4, damn this rubber is weird. First I used it on my Xiom Ice Cream AZX Pro on FH and it was interesting! A bit slow but every ball went on the table despite whatever Xu Xin bullshit I tried and it had amazing spin. My opponents couldn't block it on the table. It is a bit heavy at 53-54g cut,, but it performs amazing.
After the Xiom blade when I came back to my country I went on an amateaur national competition and I glued it on Taiwania blade and it felt just great, spin amazing, speed plenty, but heavy. Actually my BH with a slightly more heavy and harder Glayzer was more of an issue but still I won the competion only with two 3-1 matches, the rest was 3-0. Solid rubber, but heavy, no blue sponge.

-6, H3N OS 37, actually on the Taiwania blade on BH side totally de-boosted it felt quite right. Since I tried it my brain is thinking that something with a bit more speed would be amazing with the H3 tophseet, so the H3-50 is now in my mind. When I flipped it to my FH it still felt quite amazing, so the Taiwania blade has some extra kick for these rubbers.

-7, Battle 3 Purple lightning, as much as I anticipated this rubber it bit me in the ass. Maybe I got a bad sheet or I don't know what happened. It was too soft, the topsheet was not grippy enough, I had many issues. I guess I need to buy the 41.5 special edition to get a good sheet. But even with all it's problems it was fast, spinny and light. Just had some issues.

On a very hard wood outer ply wood I think the Sanwei Target National will shine, and by this I mean some rosewood or similar blades. On more conventional like I try to describe.
