Well, before this Hugo had won a grand total of 2 sets in 5 matches against ML, so making that 2 sets in 6 matches I guess isn't much of a surprise.

I couldn't watch any matches of today yet, but for the Hugo match I'd say this is what probably happened:
- Outplayed in Service/Receive game ( the biggest factor)
- forced errors out of hugo
- some rallies here and there going both ways
- Once Hugo is out of the game, he generally loses and doesn't find a way back in (see this match, Olympics vs. Felix and Truls, previous Olympics vs Dima afaik)

Despite that, CIC was the only player in the entire main draw to defeat a CNT player. And she came close to beating a second one in Fan Siqi. MVP of the tournament. Teammate Cheng Hsien-Tzu beat Xu Yi in qualification. A tournament Taiwan can be proud of.
