Well, well, well. So does this mean that pushblock style still has a place in modern high level TT?
England had a very good female player who used this style. The national team selectors said that the style had nowhere to go and turned her into a chopper. But she never cut it at international level. Was that a mistake?

Well, my predictions were ever so slightly off. Pitchford got a Gold Drinkhall a Bronze and technically Quadri a silver. Albeit in the wrong events but close enough [emoji3]

great mental strength from gao ning to clutch the 5th set though.....

Gao Ning was too solid. The match just confirmed my biggest fears and that Quadri will always be susceptible to balanced players whom he can't overpower with his forehand. He is better at dealing with those players now but he can't afford moments like the end of the 5th game.
