I would strongly suggest you try to loop vs choppers , thats the best way to learn on how to generate heavy spin .. .of course you need to ensure you don't injure yourself ...
Hit for 90 mins or so straight last night. Was a little gassed out. Hit with 2 partners, the 2nd partner was very challenging. My first time hitting with him. During my summer break, he must've joined. Young guy, SH, likes to play away from table. Lobs, wicked sidespin loops, chops, etc. Normally i like playing that type of partner as I'm generally close to the table attacker.
He's consistent, probably 1 or 2 levels above me. But he was fine with me going almost all out on each shot... meaning i didn't restrain my strokes when hitting I generally have an eye of just returning the ball and just hitting steady.
I am at a level that I cannot consistently control my loop yet, so i let it whip on his chops. Partner was fine with that. Made some, missed some, but felt good to 'unleash'. Hit both SH and PH and mostly FH's. Smashed some, looped some. Had fun.Tried to loop some high balls... lol at me... need to get to the ball earlier on the bounce or just smash.
Not quite ready to go to TT 2x a wk... also have parents teachers conferences tonight regardless. Next week may try for 2x a week TT.
