the walls are closing in on my picks... apologies to alexis and linda ahead of time
You made reasonable picks, but Bernie is a Tibhar player and while Franziska also plays on Tibhar tables quite a bit, Simon plays on them a lot in France. Bernie also has to have prepared something in case she was on the same half of the draw as Sabine, so I expected her to come out for justice. Lucky for her (or maybe not), she has to deal with Sofia if it comes to that...

So the next match was the one match where I took a gamble on volatility over stability. Lutz is volatile and if both players play their top level, Lutz will win. If they both play below their normal level, Bergstrom will win.

I wonder how Ch. Lutz, Ito of France, would do against HY, Hashimoto and Sato. Bergstrom received a surgical dissection...

Simon plays on them a lot in France.
Not quite sure... Hennebont (and its training center) is sponsored by Butterfly, a lot of PRO A teams are sponsored by Donic (or other brands) and not Tibhar. Maybe when training at Insep, then there may be some but in fact I think he played more on Tibhar tables when he played in Germany than now in France.

Nothing against Jia Nan Yuan, but I'll be rooting for Charlotte Lutz to make the finals or maybe even win it all. There has be one promising youth to take up the mantle for Europe. Right?!
Just watching the Bernadette vs. Charlotte match. Does/can the French player only serve one type of serve? Tactical serve 0.0. Still, something her coach and she herself should urgently work on.
