Tomorrow 27th November 2016 round 8 of the TTBL Season 2016/2017 will commence.

The matches will be as the following:

TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen vs. TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell

Borussia Düsseldorf vs. Post SV Mühlhausen

SV Werder Bremen vs. ASV Grünwettersbach

1. FC Saarbrücken TT vs. TTC SCHWALBE Bergneustadt.

(©TTBL)

TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau will be having a day off and probably be watching how the matches will proceed and who's gonna take the lead.

According to Borussia Düsseldorf's Manager Andreas Preuss Düsseldorf's Topplayer Timo Boll will be playing whereas Anton Källberg will take a pause, which means Fegerl, Achanta and Karlsson could play. Let's see how coach Danny Heister decides.

Although it's a home match for Düsseldorf the match will be held @ Düsseldorf's partner club in Döbeln, Saxonia.

Werder Bremen will have to replaced Bastian Steger who is still recovering from an injury. So let's see if they will be able to compensate this.

If Saarbrücken will win they cement their play-off position (Rank No#4), but Bergneustadt can catch up if they manage to steal some points on Saarbrücken's ground.

The top match of the day Ochsenhausen vs. RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell sounds promising and exciting as well. If Ochsenhausen wins, they will be the leader before the winterbreak, because in the last round before the winterbreak, the 9th round Fulda and Düsseldorf will be facing each other and won't have chances anymore to catch up with Ochsenhausen.

Simon Gauzy seems to be in very good form at the moment but also Hugo Calderano after his great performance at the Swedish Open. Same goes for Jakub Dyjas, whereas Fulda's Ruwen Filus didn't perform so well lately, but Jonathan Groth on the other hand has played extraordinarily well at the Swedish Open. So Wang Xi could play a key role here. We will see.

Sounds like some interesting matches can be viewed tomorrow afternoon.

All matches begin at 15:00 and matches can be viewed in HD in a conference here:

http://ttbl.de/videogallery/4280-22921/

The in Germany well known Rene Adler will be commenting.

Any videos? :)

Hey Ridderz, i've been checking TT-London2012's YT channel, but unfortunately i couldn't find anything there (yet)...
So i only can post links to the vids from TTBL-TV's site. I've been trying to embedd them, but i couldn't figure it out. Maybe for advertisement-reasons they don't want the vids to be embedded.... I even asked Dan, but haven't received an answer yet...

Anyway, here are the missing links:

Highlights of round 10
http://ttbl.de/videogallery/4474-23501/

Highlights Grünwettersbach vs. Bergneustadt
http://ttbl.de/videogallery/4472-23499/

Highlights Mühlhausen vs. Saarbrücken-TT
http://ttbl.de/videogallery/4465-23492/

Highlights Fulda-Maberzell vs Bremen
http://ttbl.de/videogallery/4465-23492/

Highlights Grenzau vs. Ochsenhausen
http://master.ttbl.de/videogallery/4454-23481/

There are also Highlights of the single matches, but i guess that would blow up this post too much. So here's a link to the gallery.
http://master.ttbl.de/video-more/?playid=47

Maybe TTLondon2012 will upload some of the matches to YT if he finds time.

This weekend there was no TTBL due to the FINAL FOUR which is the semifinals and finals of the German Cup 2016 and was held at the Ratiopharm Arena in Ulm/Neu-Ulm.

Here are the results of the semifinals:

TV 1879 Hilpoltstein – Borussia Düsseldorf 0:3

Alexander Flemming – Kristian Karlsson 2:3 (3:11, 3:11, 11:9, 11:7, 4:11)
Petr David – Stefan Fegerl 0:3 (7:11, 11:13, 2:11)
Nico Christ – Timo Boll (4:11, 3:11, 4:11)

Post SV Mühlhausen – 1. FC Saarbrücken TT 0:3

Daniel Habesohn – Bojan Tokic 0:3 (8:11, 7:11, 10:12)
Ovidiu Ionescu – Tiago Apolonia (11:8, 10:12, 11:9, 8:11, 6:11)
Lars Hielscher – Patrick Baum (9:11, 7:11, 13:11, 10:12)
(© TTBL.de)

So this means Borussia Düsseldorf was facing 1.FC Saarbrücken-TT in the final.
It wasn't really sure if Timo would be able to play since he had some muscular problems before the matches started, "This seems to be becoming usual" he was stated after the match.
But also Saarbrücken had their troubles and had to replace Patrick Franziska. Tiago Apolonia had some aches in his knee as well.

Anyway, here are the results of the finals:

1. FC Saarbrücken TT – Borussia Düsseldorf 0:3

Patrick Baum – Timo Boll 0:3 (9:11, 8:11, 4:11)
Bojan Tokic – Stefan Fegerl 1:3 (4:11, 11:6, 2:11, 6:11)
Tiago Apolonia – Kristian Karlsson 1:3 (11:5, 5:11, 8:11, 10:12)
(©TTBL.de)

So Borussia Düsseldorf managed to snatch the title for the 25th(!!!) time.

Newsbreak:

Ricardo Walther will leave TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt after this season and will play the teamleader for ASV Grünwettersbach next season.

But Bergneustadt seems to already have found an adequate replacement for Walther for the next season, 'cause nobody else but WRL #59 Sharath Kamal Achanta just signed up with Bergneustadt!

And more good news:
Hugo Calderano and Anton Källberg will both continue to play for their clubs in the next season.
So Calderano will stay with Ochsenhausen and Källberg will stay with Düsseldorf.
:)

And now back to the program but first a word from our sponsor.
