Today the penultimate round of the German League! Düsseldorf and Fulda have already reached the play-offs. Grenzau is quite safe at the 3rd place but it looks like Saarbrücken, Bremen and Ochsenhausen will be battling for the last ticket to the play-offs; they all have 9 wins so far.
At the other end of the ranking there is still a battle going on for the safe 8th spot.

Liam Pitchford fresh from winning the English National Championships (again), has just whopped world number 23 Gacina. Blew him off the table 3-0.

Liam is the second youngest player in the European top 20 players.

Skatchkov throws it away. After losing his first match Skatchkov must win his second to keep his team in the match. At 8-5 up in the fifth against Gacina he looks to be pulling it off but gives it all away losing six successive points to crash his team out 8-11 in the fifth. Ochsenhausen let down by its stars, Skatchkov and Gauzy, crashes out after failing to use its shining youngster (Liam Pitchford) more than once.
