Why are the men's singles Semifinals at 10 am and 10:50 am on a Sunday morning ?

It seems to me that prime time Saturday night would maximize
tournament attendance !

Xu Xin plays Lin Gaoyuan again, Xu Xin might have to pull a 120% performance to get into final. Lin Gaoyuan knows Xu Xin too well.

Gonna be honest with you, I didn't expect anywhere near this good a performance from Wang Chuqin, props to the guy.

Then, I think you did not follow youth olympics or recent Chinese super league. It was not at all unexpected IMO.

Is it just me or somebody else also noticed that Gauzy got the ball on the second bounce off the dive ?

I can't wait for a repeat of WTTC New Delhi in 1987 at the upcoming WTTC in Hungary. Practically everyone got the stomach flu.

Thank goodness the pro tour scene is back to normal today at the Hungarian Open, all CNT members only playing in the Semifinals and Finals.

I was beginning to worry the skill level was being diluted by players from other countries, playing abnormal.

Did chuqin win? I was watching livestream, went away for some minutes, while the score was 2-3 set and FZD ahead on sixth set and livestream was over when I came back.

In their 7th game, Wang leading 7-4 and he just called a timeout. Fan is not at his best. Lots of errors.

On the other hand Wang has put a lot of pressure on Fan by his powerful shots.

Fan was 2-7 in the 7th game, just caught up to 9-9

Wang's BH is amazingly powerful and consistent. Reminds me of Harimoto's BH.

Fan missed quite a lot of shots probably because he had little time to react. Hopefully Fan will recover and reach another prime time soon.

Hope Chuqin wins it now. Would make me feel better about Hugo losing if no one else could beat him.
