Yes, I tried it and it works with Mantra Pro too but not as well as Butterfly spring sponge. Literally nothing comes close to spring sponge X.Hi, @Zwill!
Have you by any chance tried Matra Pro? I wonder how hermetic the sponge is?
What about performance of 09c afrer air boosting?I've tried this with 09C and it domed after 6 hours at 1.5 bar... but then back to flat within an hour. No noticeable effect on H3 under the same conditions. View attachment 31677
Felt a little harder and faster. I'm guessing this would change pretty quickly over a couple of hours, but didn't experiment enough to say more. No question it temporarily expands the sponge. Use case may be more like speed glue than a typical booster. May also be useful for re-gluing rubbers that shrink a lot.What about performance of 09c afrer air boosting?
I ordered mine a day later. Just left Germany today. And I had to email them for tracking info. Not hugely impressed.Great that this was resuscitated, finally placed my order.
I am not an engineer or a chemist.What's keeping you from trying that out?
That Mark V bend is pretty surprisingly serious as I have been saying that more modern pored sponges tend to pick up the air better and leak it slower. From all the rubbers I tried still Butterfly Spring Sponge X is the best by far.Reading so many positive comments inspired me to build a pressure box. In my case, a pressure cylinder from cooking pot. So, I test some rubbers at 1.5 bar for 24h.
The results (I played only with the first 2):
Spinfire 1.7mm plays a bit faster 2h after treatment;
H3N national not boosted - initial 0.05mm increase in sponge tickness, but no notisable change in speed after 2h;
Victas TDE - no bending after treatment;
Degu II 2mm - no bending;
H3 provincial without boost - same;
Flyatt spin - initial bending that goes 90% away after 1 hr;
Andro R42 - same;
Omega V tour - same;
Musa I - a bit better;
Mark V 1.8mm - twice better than mentioned above esn rubbers.
Are you still using it?Great that this was resuscitated, finally placed my order.
